HOF Rookie Quest

Hey guys I am going to start keeping track of every HOF rookie I have coming in. I am trying to get as many as I can so any help is appreciated.

1948 Leaf Clyde "Bulldog" Turner EX- One of the greatest lineman of all time, is credited with inventing the draw play.

1957 Topps Dick Lane EXMT- As a rookie set the record for the most ever interceptions in a season with 14.

1959 Topps Bobby Mitchell NM-MT- Ran for 13.36 yards per carry when teamed up with Jim Brown as a rookie.

1963 Topps Dave "Deacon Jones" EX-MT- Had 24 sacks in a season before the stat was recorded.

1965 Philadelphia Paul Warfield NM- His amazing ability to run after the catch netted him a 20.1 yards per catch average over his career.

1970 Topps Alan Page NM-MT- Member of the famous Purple People Eaters. Had 178 total sacks in 218 career games.

1970 Topps- Jan Stenerud NM- Is the only pure kicker to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

1970 Topps OJ Simpson NM-MT- First running back to ever rush for 2000 yards in a season.

1974 Topps John Hannah NM- Was selected for the 1970 and 1980 all decade team as an offensive lineman.

1979 Topps Earl Campbell NM- Led NFL in rushing back to back to back from 1978-1980.

1979 Topps Ozzie Newsome NM- Caught at least one pass in 150 consecutive games.

1981 Topps Joe Montana NM- Known as the greatest of all time because of his poise and leadership in the playoffs.

1981 Topps Dan Hampton NM-MT- During Hampton's career the Bears boasted one of the greatest defenses of all time leading the league in virtually every major category.

1981 Topps Kellen Winslow Sr. NM- First ever tight end to lead the league in receptions in back to back years.

1982 Topps Anthony Munoz NM-MT- Known as the greatest lineman of all time and also caught four TDs through is career on tackle eligible plays.

1982 Topps Ronnie Lott MT- As a rookie he recorded 7 interceptions and won a super bowl.

1982 Topps Lawrence Taylor NM-MT- Retired with over 1000 career tackles and 140 career sacks.

1984 Topps Eric Dickerson MT- Holds the record for most rushing yards in a rookie season with 1808.

1984 Topps Howie Long NM- Records 97.5 sacks throughout his career with 5 being in one game.

1985 Topps Warren Moon NM-MT- In 1990 Moon led the league in passing yards with 4689.

1986 Topps Bruce Smith NM-MT- Holds a career record of 200 sacks.

1989 Score Thurman Thomas MT- Led the league in rushing four years in a row.

1989 Score Derrick Thomas MT- Had an NFL record 7 sacks in one game.

1989 Score Rod Woodson MT- Holds the record for the most interception return yardage and touchdowns with 12.

1989 Score Bruce Matthews MT- Was named first team all-pro nine times throughout his career.

1989 Score Barry Sanders MT- His ridiculous Heisman winning college season consisted of 7.6 ypc, 3249 total yards, and 39 total TDs.

1989 Score Troy Aikman NM-MT- Set the rookie passing record in a game by throwing for 379 yards against the Redskins.

1989 Score Michael Irvin MT- From 1991-1998 he recorded 1000 yard seasons all but once.

Future HOF Rookies- These are players who in my opinion deserve to be in the hall. I collect their best true rookie.

1996 Bowman's Best Ray Lewis MT- Has already been selected to 11 pro bowls and could make the hall of fame if he retired right now.
