I've noticed that the non-jersey Allen & Ginter's cards are just a bit thicker than regular baseball cards, so I'm curious what size toploaders to get for those cards. Also, what about the A&G Jersey, Gypsy Queen Jersey cards, and the Bowman Sterling Refractor Jersey cards, Topps Game Used Jersey, and Topps Museum Collection Jumbo Jersey Patch?

So, looking for top loader sizes for
1) Allen & Ginter's regular size (non-mini cards)
2) Allen & Ginter's Jersey cards
3) Gypsy Queen Jersey Cards
4) Bowman Sterling Refractor Jersey Cards
5) Topps Game Used Jersey Cards
6) Topps Museum Collection Jumbo Jersey Patch Cards

Thanks in advance!

Alright, first and foremost I have no affiliations to anyone or anything.

I was chatting with my LCS owner about the Father's Day packs and he was torn over what to do. His distributors were pushing 3 products on him as essentially the only way to obtain the packs: cases of Marquee Basketball, Hoops Basketball, or Elite Basketball. The same products, by no coincidence, that are cluttering his shelves already. He does have another option, which is the new USA Champions baseball, and he and I talked about it. 20 boxes per case, 6 hits per box, with some big names like Griffey Jr, Strausburg, Harper, Thomas, Schmidt... Not to mention Addison Russel, Gerrit Cole... There ARE decent names in there. But you also have all of the 16 and 18 year old guys, too, so you're more likely to get Steve McGriff from Janesville Junior High in Kansas than anyone you recognize, and the only people looking for Mr. McGriff's cards are his parents and grandma.

(As an aside, I think the USA Champions is going to be a fairly decent product, there are some very awesome cards that can be pulled with probably pretty decent odds. Probably my best bet of pulling a laundry tag or whole patch or a bat knob of anybody, even Steve McGriff... At any rate, I DO think it will do fairly well and remember that these are licensed by USA Baseball, so it has logos and everything!)

So, my LCS owner is basically hosed and extremely limited to the number of packs he can get because he can't afford to buy another case of Marquee to get a handful more packs and have all the product sit next to the stuff he'll also probably never sell, or buy a case of Hoops from his distributor at a 20% markup over what he can buy it online for, which again will not sell like the other stuff already on his shelves. My complaint here is

WTF PANINI!?

Why can't you include things like Prizm (anything), or Elite Extra Edition for baseball? No amount of bribing is going to turn the worst product on the planet onto something people are going to buy. Or, incentivize it more heavily than others. I.e. maybe twice as many packs for those cases as other cases. I'm no business-savvy person, but common sense would seem to dictate that seeing a whole bunch of a variety of products is better than trying and failing to sell a whole bunch of a few really crummy products. Will my LCS owner do $3200 in business from Panini products on Father's Day? I'd be willing to double down on my Father's Day packs that he will. Between Pack Wars and people wanting to obtain some of the packs, I could see us going through those no problem. Will you have LCS's that try and sell the packs or do other unscrupulous things? Sure. But I don't quite get why they're trying so hard to sell this garbage when they could make a killing cleaning out some of the other products that are out there.

Also, the USA Champions is being released what, 3 weeks before Father's Day? Great. Nothing like a freshly stale product to generate some revenue!

What do you guys think? Do you have an LCS that is even participating, and do you know how they usually do it? I barely got to participate last Father's Day because the shop in Wichita almost ran out (I was travelling on business). How would you do it if you were Panini?

Topps previewed its flagship-capping third standard release of the year on Wednesday, and it’s 2013 Topps Update that will arrive on Oct. 14 packing the final chances at The Chase for the season.

With one autograph or Relic in every 24-pack Hobby box or one auto and two Relics in every HTA Jumbo box, Update will cap the season’s offerings and offer some new additions not seen in the first two series. The 330-card base set will highlight veteran additions and rookie call-ups as is tradition along with a look at the stars of the Midsummer Classic and the MLB Home Run Derby, too.

Each card will have seven parallels as well as printing plates — Gold, Black, Pink, Platinum, Emerald, and Desert Camo are back, while cards from all three series will have their Sapphire parallels in this one with each limited to just 25. A total of 100 cards from the set will have silk minis limited to 100 copies.

Hi All this is my first post here. I look forward to this being one of many to come. I just picked up 3 picture packs, 1 yankees opened 1958-1961. and 2 sealed Braves packs.

Can anyone help me identify the year of this one?

Joe Torre on front and Denis Menke is the back photo. This pack has never been opened and you will notice the envelope says "Atlanta" Braves and in the picture Joe is wearing the "Milwaukee" hat. So I am thinking it is 1965 or 66. Either the year they were supposed to move or the year they moved.

Also has any one seen an unopened picture pack? I cant find any online. <a href="http://www.sportscardforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=72303&d=1369218832" title="Name: M Braves pack 1965 1.jpg

Hows everyone doing? I have a question i wanted to get some opinions on. I have a Miguel Cabrera Bowman Chrome Rookie Card graded 9.5. This card has gone up in value since he won the Triple Crown last year, but it seems to have gone up a few more bucks lately. Do you guys think this is a card worth holding to for years until he is retired and maybe a HOF or do you think its better to sell now? Im a huge Tigers fan but newer cards just isnt my thing anymore unless i think there a good investment for years down the road.

Appreciate the advice!

You just knew that Panini America's 2012 Cooperstown Baseball, one of last season's most history-steeped baseball releases, would raise the bar with its highly anticipated encore. 2013 Cooperstown Baseball is slated to go live in mid August and once again this season will pay homage to the greatest baseball players of all time with another legendary assortment of on-card autographs, a rainbow array of Cracked Ice parallels and the addition of Cogan's Disks, Cooperstown Lumberjacks wood cards and oversized box-toppers.

Each 24-pack hobby box of 2013 Cooperstown Baseball will deliver one on-card autograph (either a Cooperstown Signatures card or a unique Heroes Buy Back autograph), two Cooperstown Lumberjack wood cards (featuring a mix 0f Deadball Era players and Hall of Famers), six Green Cracked Ice, one Gold Cracked Ice (#'d to 299), three Blue Cracked Ice (#'d to 499), two Red Cracked Ice (#'d to 399), two Base SPs, 24 Colgan's Disks, four Historic Tickets, three Museum Pieces and one 5 by 7 Cooperstown Lumberjacks Die Cut or Pennant box-topper.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has gotten cards from Topps via the No Purchase Necessary method, as detailed on the product wrappers. You know the one, if you send in a 3x5 card with your name and address on it, you get a chance at cards with the same odds available as if you bought a pack. I figure it's a good deal for the higher end Topps products (Tribute, Museum, Triple Threads, etc.) for the cost of a stamp.

I sent in my first request for a card for Topps Tribute about a month ago but haven't gotten anything back yet. How long does it normally take Topps to fulfill these requests? Have any of you gotten more than a base card by this method?

I appreciate any responses.
