thought u guys might wanna c some of your prospects!! justin azevedo is a fast but small center. he is a scrapper and plays like theo fluery or maybe more like mark recchi. he played on a the line with Brian Boyle last year and set up alot of boyles goals! you guys might remember John Zeiler he is in the pic with my son and Kevin Westgarth who is my sons favorite now boyle is gone!! Westy is a big STRONG guy who has brains! He and Parros went 2 Princeton 2gether!!! wow 2 smart guys in LA that would b 2 much! No wonder they let the Ducks have em lol! Last but not least is the AHL Goaltender of the Month for December. Jonathan Bernier in his 2nd Year with the club is in the top 5 in GAA and wins in the AHL! Dont be surprised to c him up in LA soon if somehow they wannna trade Quick!! This kid is good and he was a top 10 draft pick! Enjoy

WHOA - I havent been in here in a while - so Lets get this group active again!!!!!!

Jim - Great pics....I cant wait for Westgarth to come up and take over for Ivanans....I think he will make things happen.....Also hope Bernier can stay up here with Quick....of course that means sending Ersberg down or trading him as he has one more year....

OK - Some observations on a few kings.......Agree...disagree...disagree to agree....Whatever...just give a shout out!!!

Quick - 111 Games - 60 Wins - 39 Loses - 6 OTL - 8 Shutouts - .912 Save% - 2.47 GAA since coming up last December......He already has the King record for most wins and is currently at 39.....He is easily going to be our first 40 win netminder - WOO HOO!!!!

Kopitar - He is playing again like he was in October - I think Smyth is the real reason....even when they dont play on the same line.....Anze seems to feed off of Smyth....either way, he is playing the way he is supposed to be...as the #1 guy!!!!

Smyth - sucks he got injured as the Kings could have been better and a little more consistant with him in the line-up....Glad he is on the Kings...

Frolov - This guy confuses me...He is very streaky but in a contract year, he hasnt done much.....DL will obviously use this against him and sign him cheap or maybe even trade his rights at draft for a late pick...Doesnt seem like he clicks in any line combo...

Doughty - A Norris winner in the making....The guy is making it look so simple out there - I honestly think he skaes like Coffey - with ease from end to end....Blistering shapshot.....If DL doesnt lock this kid up long term, he is an idiot!!

Brownie, Simmer, Zues, Richie - How can you not appreciate what these guys do for the team - They are not your 30+ goal scorers but they bring so much more to the table - I am glad DL didnt trade Simmer at the deadline....and Zues....he played injured his first year and got a lot of critizism for his play - now healthy....WHOA! He is a HUGE factor in the Kings success

Williams - Overall, he is doing well...If he can stay healthy for more than a month at a time, he can make this team a lot stronger....but thats a big IF

Jones - What can I say....Terry Murray likes the guy (a Philly connection of sorts).....so he plays....he is HORRIBLE!!!! He is starting to rub off on Greene as Greene is starting to play like Jones....He has a shot but sucks defensively...and his shot hasnt heped much lately...so is useless right now...Drewiske should be playing but again, Murray claims him to be in the top 6 going forward - so get used to it...

Johnson - Streaky....has good games and then has HORRIBLE games....this kid could be a BEAST in this league and sometimes it looks like he is just an average D-man.....

Parse, Clune, Martinez, Harrold, Drewiske - These guys have done all that has been asked of them....Parse need a little more scoring but still has played a good game....

Greene, Scuderi, OD - Its OD's last season - and rightly so...he is not playing as well as years past..."SlowDonnell" and OLDonnell" are common names at the Staples Center...Greene and Scuderi play very well defenseively....Greene always has some solid hits....

Stoll - Great Face-off guy....He always starts the PK with Handzus then bolts to the bench after he wins the faceoff and they clear the zone....great strategy as they have not let a PPG in in 28 attempts

    Ersberg - Buh bye

    Ivanans - Buh bye

    A few Kings Stats

PK - 28/28 over the last 8+ games
    PP - 6/26 over last 8+ games - Ranked 6th overall
Avg 27.7 shots against - Ranked 3rd best overall
Avg 2.59 goals against per game - Ranked 10th overall
Avg 2.84 goals per game - Ranked 9th overall
Today, Kings rank 8th overall with 89 points (Ranked 6th in Point% with .627)
Kings have already broken a number of Kings Team record...most wins on road, win streak, Goalie wins to name a few.....

Kings have a 99.7% chance of making the playoffs after 8 years of vacations in May....WOO HOO!!!!

    GO KINGS GO!!!!

Whoa is right been awhile since i have been here 2 css glad u liked the pics! I have more 2 add so will do that soon. Bernier got the call back and is supposed 2 start 2night against nashville so lets c if we can finally beat those guys this year!

    Your observations
quick ---better watch his back bernier wants 2 make a statement and knowing him i can c it in his eyes! Quick is good but bernier is going to be better! With the defense of the yeah norris winner in the making doughty and soon to be alec martinez and a young russian named voynov who is playing with a chip on his shoulder in the ahl the team is going 2 b stacked in front of bernier or quick next year!

Koptiar awesome u think thats good wait til loktionov puts on a little muscle and grows into a man. Fresh off the injured list friday in 3 games 3 goals 3 assists and on a line with oscar moller and big young foward dwight king playing at blazing speeds wow u guys will love 2 c these guys soon!!

Clune wears his jersey and bleeds the same colors! He will protect anyone on his team and brings his lunchpail 2 everygame! We miss him here in manchester but he deserves his shot!

Nice 2 c scott parse doing well up there!!!

Everyone else stay healthy and hopefully our monarchs can make a deep run at the calder trophy this april & may!!!

What's up Kings fans. I just joined your group. I'm a huge Kings fan, have been for years. I grew up in Toronto in the 1980's and the Leafs were bad, although compared to todays version of the team they were a dynasty. I liked the Leafs, but needed another team to cheer for. Most of my friend's picked the Oilers because of Gretzky, who I loved but I just didn't love the Oilers. It was because of the Oil that I found my true team though. Ir was 1982 the playoffs and everyone was predicting the Oilers to challenge for the CUp. Their first victun was to be the LAkings. They of the loud yellow home jerseys and even louder "royal blue" away jerseys (now hat they had the huge yellow , or gold swath down the shoulders). The original purple( sorry royal blue jersys were actually quite nice as we are reminded this year. Most of you know what happened next. The Kings and Oilers split the first two games of the series in Edmonton. Game three was set for the fabulous forum and for some reason I jsut felt La would win this series at that point i can remember announcing this to a room filled with my hockey playing friends all between 9 and 12, and my father a fan of the game and the Oilers. I can remember the laughs and jeers I got, I don't think anyone really took it seriously. There was an air in the hockey world that the Oilers were going to win this series withpout trouble. It amazed most people that LA had managed to win a game in EDmonton. No one espected LA to win another game until next season. This sentiment was made abundantly clear to me as my friends and family continually reminded me that the Oilers were up 2-0 after the first period. As the thrashing continued in the second, 3-0 than before I knew it 4-0, I wondered why I had picked tonight to announce my foundness for the Kings. Then the game reached the blowout leval 5-0 Oilers as the 2nd ended. There was no hope. My budies cheered and tried to convince my Fasther that we should just play Atari, why even watch the third period, it was over. I really think that had they asked for any other form of entertainment, say the VCR or the Commadore VIc20, I would never have seen that third period. My Father just so hated that infernal Atari and especially the house favorite Donkey Kong that he insisted everyone stay and watch this meaningless game, I believe it was his way of punishing us for even bringing up the Atari. The third was a blur M/Dionne was outplaying Gretz by a mile, he figured in the first goal. But it was the 5-3 goal that got everyone intrested, and made me a lifelong Kings fan. I remember that the Kings had a late powerplay after they had made it 5-4 , they pulled Lessard for a two man advantage but couldn't seem to get anything going. It looked like they would fall just short, as Dionne stickhandled with under 30secs left desparatly looking for someone to pass to,=. I was actually yelling, I truly liked this team, my friends thought I was nuts. Finally Dionne passes to Simmer but he;s covered, back to Dionne who's covered too, so he sort of lets the puck go by with a redirect pass. What was he doing! Both of the triggermen Simmer and Taylor (the other parts of the triple crown line, the best line in hockey history) were on the other side of the net. Who's this now, it's Steve Bozak and he's not covered at all. There we have it 5.5 secs left and we are tied at 5 , the greatest comeback in playoff history. Of course d.evans sealed the comeback in OT and the Kings went on to win the series. That is why i'm a lifelong Kings fan. I've been collecting hockey cards from 1979-1987 then from 2000 to 2005 then from 20008 to present. I ahve a nice collection. Lakings and mastterpieces and nhorton are my pc's i have a huge organize on beckett under [email protected] and a bucket whch is big but not even close to finished, check it out http://s1036.photobucket.com/albums/a445/minuit2/ sorry about the typos
