Upper Deck e-Pack Trading Adventure

by sludgy on 03-22-2016 at 11:52 AM
Yesterday Upper Deck released trading to their e-Pack platform; I had a simple goal complete my base set and get enough to combine for a couple of foils. I started with about 280 cards and I have to say trading was a breeze, I started with a few trades with the locals who had posted to the new forum https://www.sportscardforum.com/forum...Deck-e-Trading and then started stalking the Public Forum on the Upper Deck e-Pack site. Less then 24 hours in to trading I have completed my base set

Box Bottoms

by sludgy on 03-20-2013 at 06:45 PM
For their 1985-86 sets O-Pee-Chee and Topps started putting cards on the bottom of their boxes in 4 card panels. These cards features different art but looked very similar to the regular issue cards. This trend continued until the 1990-91 sets. Upper Deck followed suit with their 1991-92 box bottoms being 1 large card but shortly after that box bottom cards disappeared. In recent years Upper Deck has revived that trend on their new O-Pee-Chee product but this post will focus on the older stuff.

Jets Fans Make for a Memorable Game

by sludgy on 03-12-2013 at 01:04 AM
In 1990 the Edmonton Oilers were on there way to their fifth Stanley Cup win in seven years. But in the 2nd game of the playoffs on April 6th they faced off against against some crazy Jets fan. I guess the 7 to 5 victory for the Jets in game one boosted their confidence because the Jets fans entered the Coliseum with painted faces and Jets flags draped over there shoulders like they were Superman while chanting: "We're number one! We're number one!".
