For anyone that doesn't know...I just started collecting Matt Duchene. This is a kid that I first began to notice a little after the season started. He is a player that will be a good investment for any team in the long run, plus he is a nice guy. I thought about collecting him in the beginning of the year and regret not doing so. Someone offered me his young gun for $15!!!!!!!! OMG! Thats a steal if you buy it now. So what I have been doing, has been saving up for his young gun, and have been trying
I have met Mason Raymond twice actually. Once at this Fan Zone signing at the Team store, and another time (accidentally) at the Source Store.
The day of the Fan Zone Signing was so exciting. I was just looking at the clock all day long (it was Thursday) waiting for classes to end, so I could go to the Raymond signing. It finally did. When the day ended I was in a rush because I need to be downtown at 4:00. I got out at 3:00, and only had an hour. It usually takes about 40 minutes
Just from watching a video on one day, on Youtube, posted by TannieS (here on SCF) I was introduced to Sportscardforum.com, and card collecting. Before that, I was just interseted in playing hockey, watching hockey and going to a couple of autograph sessions. But now with school being very long, and boring, I can reward myself with a couple of hours on SCF everyday. The day isn't as depressing and long!.
On September 5 2009, I mailed a letter to Alex Burrows. Burrows had gone through a lot last season, when he lost his good friend Luc Bourdon. His whole season was dedicated to him. He scored 28 goals last season (Luc Bourdons number was 28), and by scoring a short handed goal againest the Hurricanes with only a couple minutes left, stopped their losing streak.
