anyone know how to get the smell of rotten cigarette butts off of cards

I recently received some cards from a seller and they reek of cigarettes

is there anyway to get this musty stench off of them

I heard about putting dryer sheets on it for a few days. Never personally done it my self though.

If they are that bad I would have the other person take them back, but the bad thing is the cards you traded to them probably already stink of cigaretts

First throw away the top loaders and penny sleeves. Then I have put them on a counter or table spread out with space between each one and not stacked up. It seems to make them somewhat better (exposure to air) but does not completely get rid of the smell.

Stick them in your freezer and also use dryer sheets like someone suggested.Someone that you traded with must smoke like a chimney,because I smoke and in all my over 200 trades I've never had 1 trader complain about cigarette smell.

yeah it is pretty funny. It was only a cheap purchase on ebay I got, but I would never resell cards that smell like someone rubbed a cigarette all over them

Never have had cards that smelled like that in all the trades I've done. They must chain smoke or something
