The way I see it, she took an action that she saw fitting. It's not what I would do, but I totally understand the reasoning and sentiment, that being that child pornographers and those who support them should die. I don't necessarily agree with it, look at Pete Townshend's case, but I get it.
I'm never in favour of taking a life. I do wish she had done the proper thing and called the authorities, etc. But at the same time, while I don't wish anyone dead, there are some people I have no sympathy for and won't miss. IF she was correct that he was looking at kiddie porn, then he's one of those people.
As long as she accepts the consequences of what she did, I applaud her all around.

I wouldn't say everybody who watches child pron is a predator, those who actually act upon their urges are predators. Sure watching it is wrong and deserves a nice stay in the slammer but does simply watching something make you a monster though? The people who make the videos and force the children into those positions are 100% monsters as well as the websites that host the videos but the people who watch them I wouldn't consider monsters....sick and disturbed yes but monster not quite.
A better question though is what is the nature of the child porn (I feel bad even asking a question like this), is it 16-17 year old females that could easily pass for legal age just by looking at them or is 12-13 year old girls and younger? Sure they are both considered child porn but one could easily be mistaken by the 16-17 and think its a legit legal age video, does that still make the viewer a monster if they aren't aware what they are actually viewing?
For the record we don't even know if Matthew White was even watching child porn...or anything for that matter, all we have is what his wife said and until a search of computer is done we don't know. Heck she could have even searched it herself to set up an alibi.Last edited by MattDMC; 02-13-2013 at 04:25 PM.

I started the thread with IF he did as others did in the thread. And I don't care if they look older, smell older if they are under 18 they are considered a child.Pretty easy lay out 50 year old men should not be getting their rocks off to underage children.

Um....even if he was looking at child porn, he didn't deserve death.
I hope the woman enjoys spending the rest of her life in jail.
This was a major overreaction....the proper action was to talk about it or call the police.

even if he was looking at child porn, that's no excuse for premeditated murder. According to the report she waited until he fell asleep and then went and got knives and stabbed him. The article even says "she had stabbed her 53-year-old husband after catching him viewing pornography — possibly child pornography — on the computer." It will be interesting to see if it was actually child porn. Even still, she had no right to murder the guy. Turn him in.

And here is where the problem comes.Talking about does not help kids who are harmed.Letting the message out that child molesters and crimes against children will suffer severe penalties that is what needs to be.Alex tell my hypothetically if there was a horrible act againsgt a child you knew closely would talking it out and jail time satisfy you?

I'd say it's probably untrue to say everyone who watches it are predators. Sure they help create the demand for the people who are predators and should be dealt with, but I'd bet that in the prosecution of people involved with child porn there are levels of punishment depending on if they are creating it or just watching it. I agree that even the watchers need to be punished and dealt with but having a civilian being the judge jury and executioner is not the way to do.

I respect your opinion but IF it was child porn and she waited and stabbed him in his sleep GOOD JOB.And that is just the way I see it.

Actually talking about it to the police would help. Maybe if she had done that, the police could investigate and actually find out info to lead them to the provider of this alleged child pornography. It's actually quite possible that turning him in would have done much more good than murdering him. Say the police are able to track down a provider and take him out of the sex trade industry? You never know what they could have done had they been able to get this guy to cooperate... IF he had in fact been watching child pornography.
We really don't know much about this and what she actually saw him watching or thought she saw.

THANK YOU!
Sure we all know Child Porn is wrong and shouldn't be supported but killing a harmless man in his sleep is applauded? Yes I will call him harmless as he never laid a hand or acted upon anybody nor had any intent to, he was simply watching a video. Does watching a video make murder now both acceptable and applaud-able? If the man was asleep why not call the cops and they can come pick him up, he's not going to run from the cops in his sleep so why resort to killing him? Killing child molesters and those involved in child porn is too easy, let them rot in a cell for the next 50 years and let the inmates beat the crap out of them don't just kill them instantly and let them off the hook.
On one hand you have a guy who "may have" been watching child porn (we don't even know if he broke a law or not) while in the other hand we have a psycho lady who stabbed and killed a man in his sleep (a definite crime). Why is the "may have" guy getting treated like a scum when theres no proof but the actual murderer is being called a hero?
For those that think the lady did right in killing Matthew White you are sorely mistaken. She took the time to even plan out the stabbing by bringing the knives into the bedroom and waiting until he fell asleep. You mean to tell me that in that amount of time she couldn't have contacted the police once and let them do their job? Thats the problem today people think they know best and can take the law into their own hands, it doesn't matter what somebody did you have zero right to kill them, the only time murder is ever acceptable is in self defense and your life was truly in danger. Not a single soul was harmed by Matthew White so why was he killed as if there was somebody he was harming?Last edited by MattDMC; 02-13-2013 at 05:06 PM.
