    Fees for current players?

Hey, I know guys like Peyton sign for a fee through their foundation, this isn't what I want this thread to be about.

I was thinking, what about the long shot players that never sign TTM or only rarely. Do you think your chances of getting them would improve if you put a little money in their pocket with a small donation?

Like let's say you sent buster posey a 10 dollar check with a TTM request, just to pick a name off the top of my head.

For the guys that send the "I'm to busy to sign letters", I doubt that its the actual player who is even opening the letters to send back the busy letter.. its probably an employee of the team. So I wouldn't think that the money would eve help but that's just my opinion.

I know Todd Helton signs for a $25 fee, I am sure it would give them some incentive...

Most of the Rockies sign for that fee. It's apart of the Rockies donation system or something.

Tulo signs for $25...and I'm not sure about Cargo but now that he got that longterm deal and I almost say for sure he will charge $25 too.

Most of the time if it's a guy who never signs, the envelope will more than likely never be opened.

Bingo...I don't know of many players that open their mail and just don't answer (aside from Shareef Abduh-Raheem, according to Paul Shirley). So if they don't open the mail, money wouldn't be of much help.

I heard that last month Cargo sent a letter out asking for the $25.

The Tigers had some guys do the cards for $10/8x10's for $20 - but I'm not sure if they are doing it again: Dontrelle Willis (pre-trade), Jeremy Bonderman (currently FA), Rick Porcello (cards only), Magglio Ordonez, Miguel Cabrera.

Send $10 cash to millionaires? That would be like someone giving you a penny for your time.
