    The REAL atheist agenda.

So, it seems like our old agenda to take over the U.S government, ban all religion, and usher in the new world order has been discovered by the GOP and far right Christians.....Darn!!!

We would've gotten away with it too...our plans were perfect!

Actually, the majority of us want only one thing....to keep the United States a secular country.

    That's it.

While some atheist do fight against ticky-tacky things like "in god we trust" and "one nation under god"..,,the bigger organizations like 'American Atheists' simply want to keep things secular when it comes to government and our rights.

To be fair..."e pluribus unum" is a much better motto.

"Out of many, one"....what a great statement and it used to represent the U.S very nicely.

Anyways....now all of you know our real "agenda".

    Ha!
The atheist agenda is the same as the PETA agenda.

    Be louder than everyone.

    That's it.

You know....the point of this thread is to show that atheists don't actually have any "agendas".

It's kinda like the "gay agenda".

    They want equality.

That's not an agenda at all....that's how things should be.

Atheists want the country to remain secular.

That's also not an agenda....that's how things should be.

Unfortunately, every group has an agenda. That doesn't mean every or even most members of said group share that agenda. Every group, be they gays, atheists, Blacks, anything, wants to be on top. They all fight for equality, but that isn't what they want.

For example, let's take gays. I believe, and you disagree, that once gay marriage is legal, some will fight hard for church marriages. It doesn't make much sense to me, demanding to be married by a God who will smite you for being yourself, but someone will take up that fight, and I will not agree with it.
Now, that isn't an argument against gay marriage, and it isn't a criticism of all gays. I merely think some gays are going to take up that fight and they will quickly gain support. Not all gays will fight the fight. Not all gays will even agree with the fight. But gays will take the "gay agenda" to that step. It's going to happen.

So while I agree that group members may or may not have an agenda, as a whole, these groups seem to act as single entities. As such, it's tough to believe your agenda isn't the death of religion. You continually say you don't want that, but what you do say you want is petty and weird, for religion to simply be a public laughing stock no one would ever be involved with.

But oh no, you don't want to end it as such...

That's where the idea of the atheist agenda comes from. The many atheists who say they don't want to kill religion but are clearly lying when they say it.

alex, it is like the agenda of most religious people. they want to practice their religion how they believe they need to and not be forced to change this. atheists want to live their life how they believe is the best way and not be forced to change do to religion.

Muslims don't want to be forced to accept Christian beliefs or practices, Sikhs don't want to be forced to accept Judaic practices, and so on and so forth.

Balderdash. The format is common sense, try it sometime. Atheists don't secretly meet like idiotic Masons.
