Israel vs. Palestine
So, why isn't this being discussed here?

^94 civilian deaths in Gaza.
Meanwhile Israel has the "Iron Dome" which intercepts missiles from hitting.
All I know is that these I dislike BOTH sides, and I hope the U.S STAYS OUT OF IT!!!!!!

The security of Israel is crucial to our national security IMO. Without a friend in the Middle East, I can see them all becoming nuclear. That would be bad for us, and bad for the world.

But why is it always the U.S?
Israel doesn't have any other allies?
I'm against the U.S doing anything to escalate this conflict and hurt Americans in the process.
We've got so many problems here at home, we can't afford anything else.

Um.....Israel is more than capable of protecting itself, and I don't believe that without them the rest of the countries in the Middle East would become "nuclear".
If anything, Israel is the REASON why a lot of them (especially Iran) talk the way they do.

Because over the years since WWII the US has appointed itself World Police and everyone else went along with them.

And the US is so deeply involved in the whole thing that simply saying "not it" is not an option.

You can also attribute it to the fact that the world relies on the U.S. to fill that role, so they don't feel the need to take any initiative on their own. When the **** hits the fan, they'll be begging us to help, just like in the first 2 world wars.
