most likely

what do you think is more likely to happen..

Woods passing nicklaus' 18 titles
or
Bonds breaks Aaron's HR record

Woods:

titles:8
age: 27

Tiger Woods, now 27 years of age, has had an unprecedented career since becoming a professional golfer in the late summer of 1996. He has won 51 tournaments, 38 of those on the PGA TOUR, including the 1997, 2001, and 2002 Masters Tournaments, 1999 and 2000 PGA Championships, 2000 and 2002 U.S. Open Championship, and 2000 British Open Championship. With his second Masters victory in 2001, Tiger became the first ever to hold all four professional major championships at the same time. He is the career victories leader among active players on the PGA TOUR, and is the career money list leader.

Woods holds 8 titles and needs 10 to tie nicklaus'
Tiger could play about 15 years before he wants to stop and could do it

Bonds:

current HRs: 637
Aaron's record: 775
age: 39

Bonds only has around 5 years left in him as a power hitter. Bonds needs 106 homeruns to tie Aarons record. Barry hit 73 homeruns beating out Mark's record but just Three. He has a shot at doing it but will take atleast 3 seasons to beat.

I think both will happen... but I will put my vote on Woods since he still has many many years to play.

I agree I think both will happen but I think Tiger will have a tougher time. I don't think Tiger will get #9 at the PGA Championship this weekend. Winning 11 majors takes at least 3 years. Bonds has 3 1/2 years to hit 106 homeruns which is much more attainable then winning 11 of 13 majors for Tiger over the next 3 years. But that only answers which will come first but both will happen.

I think that it will be easier for Tiger to do that than Barry get 100+ HR in just a few years....who knows maybe neither of them will get it.

This was on Sportscenter.....

Anyway if Bonds doesn't break Aaron's record 25 other guys will.

HRs have now become a joke.

McGwire had 580+
Sosa has 500+
Palmeiro 500+
McGriff 490+
Griffey 455+
Gonzalez 400+
Thomas 400+
Bagwell 400+
Arod 350+

All these guys have 500 or will have 500 before their careers are over and some will have 600+ HRs.

Now somebody please try and tell me that the 500 HR Club is still exclusive.

I think the main reason is players going to the gym and bulking up. For example you look at a guy like Nomar who isn't very big at all so he only hits about 25-30 hr's a year, then you look at a big guy like Adam Dunn and you can see where he gets all his power.
