Something I always wanted to do
Every once in a while you read in the papers or on the internet that some highschooler has made themselves eligible for the draft.
What I want to know is how does this happen? Is there some sort of paperwork or forms submitted?
Anyone know?
The reason I ask is because I want to make myself eligible for this years NBA draft. :D
Sure, I'm horrible at bball, In fact just god awful but I would still just like to let those NBA guys know I'm eligibile!
It would be awesome if they actually give you some sort of form confirming your eligibility. I'd frame it! :D

As far as I know, you sign to an agent and they take care of the paper work. At first it's a verbal commitment (that can be broken if you never signed with an agent) and then there's a filing of papers to the NBA declaring your entrance into the NBA draft.

Click the PROFILE link at the top of the paage, then click on the EDIT OPTIONS link. Scroll down to the bottom where it says CHANGE AVATAR, click that. From there you can use ones this board already has (at least that's what it's always been for boards like this) or you can upload a custom made one like I did.

i know all about this.....first you have to get the paper work which cost quite a bit.you dont have to have an agent but it would help....you can do the papers by yourself...then you send them in with more money and you get a number...you then fill out more paper and you are eligible...although the chances of anyone hearing about it is awefull since there are many more high schoolers that enter than we hear about....like hundreds each year but if you dont go to camps like at the home town of the team they wont know you exhist
