Support our troops!
Here the link to a great site to check out. Please do what you can.
My wife and I talked it over tonight, and decided to "adopt a soldier". Things are tight with our daughter due in Jan. (our first child)...but we both agreed that no troop should go through Mail Call without getting atleast a letter or a card. And we would love to send a soldier (who normally gets nothing) a little care package for the holidays. Being prior service myself, I explained to her how exciting it is to get a simple letter each week....and how equally sad it is to get nothing at all from home. Please, look over the site and if you are in a position to help out...please do so. Or, if you are younger....get your parents attention and let them look at the site. Update:
Within 2 hours of signing up ...btw, it's FREE...we received a soldier's name and mailing address. The wife and I will be sending him some mail this week. EB |
