NHL Power Rankings: Defending champion Red Wings are red-hot
BY Michael Obernauer
1. Red Wings (49-17-9; LW: 3) Just when everybody's ready to declare Chris Osgood playoff primed after four straight wins, he takes a fifth straight start for the first time all season and lets 'em in from every angle in Calgary before Mike Babcock gives him the hook. Still, Friday night's 2-0 shocker by the Isles aside, the champs are heating up: 8-3-1 in their last 12. 2. Devils (47-23-4; LW: 1) The Devils, 3-7 in their last 10 away from the Rock, will try to get it straightened out on Monday at the Garden. And to think, we went through almost a whole hockey season without Sean Avery and Martin Brodeur. We have no shame about adding to the hype for this tilt. 3. Capitals (46-23-7; LW: 2) http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ho...ampion_re.html
