Shaq misses 5th straight game

Cavaliers center Shaquille O'Neal missed Saturday's game against the 76ers because of a shoulder injury.

It marked the fifth consecutive game O'Neal has missed.

He hasn't played since Nov. 12 against the Heat.

Sounds like Mike Brown isn't really happy with him either...I wonder if the Cavs have thought about trading him yet...I don't think they should, as they'll (the team) need time to mesh together, but as of now, I would say that this hasn't been working too well.

i think in a lottle more time the team will start to get their flow back. keep shaq, but not shaq and z on the floor at the same time thats ludicrous.

It's hard to see Shaq slowly breaking down. Hopefully he can end his career on a high note.

it was very convenient that he wasn't at the Cavs vs. Wizards game.

To be fair, we really only brought him in for one reason, and that was to defend Dwight Howard. And on that topic, he did his job, and he did it darn good against him in that game.

But overall, the Cavs run much smoother without him.

He hasnt played because The Cavs give him time off, because h wanted a cortisone shot for his shoulder, so they gave him rest instead. Aint nobody mad and anyone.

Just a thought. What happens if the Cavs don't even meet the Magic in the playoffs? Or even scarier, what if they meet up with a C that can play outside of the paint (ie Gasol)? Just seems like a ridiculous gamble to spend that much and your matchup problems vs the Magic was actually Hedo/Shard.

Well, considering they gave up nothing for him, not sure how it's a ridiculous gamble.....? Without Shaq, they can't stop Dwight. With him, they can. If they don't meet the Magic, then so be it. It wouldn't have made a difference either way with who we gave up for Shaq....if it's the Celtics and Lakers, our matchups wouldn't be any different, either way.

Oh, and BTW, they brought in Moon and Parker for size on Rashard. And something tells me we'll be alright not worrying about Hedo in the Playoffs.
