Im sorry I dont really know much about photos... what is the difference between a regular photo and a high-res photo?

A "regular" photo won't be high enough quality to print an 8x10 (or many times even a 5x7) from, but a high resolution photo can do that.

These images are of a high enough resolution so that you could easily print 8x10s or 11x14s of them.
