2010 NHL Entry Draft. Leg 2 in the race for the trio
RULES TO ENTER

1) You must make the following picks - 1st pick to 15th pick. (Include the first and last name) If, for some reason, a team should trade up (or down) to get a pick, it doesn't matter. Just let us know who will be selected in the 1 thru 15 spot.

Tie-Breaker (just in case!!) pick - #50. So, the tie-breaker goes to whomever is closest to the #50 pick (up or down).
If there is still a tie after the tie breaker a winner will be picked using a randomizer.

The contest will be scored on this simple basis. If you select the first pick correctly, you get 1 point, the 2nd pick nets 2 points, with the 15th pick being worth 15 points. So, as you can see, selecting the top of the draft is not as important, compared to selecting the bottom half, as picks 1 thru 5 are only worth 15 points, picks 6 thru 10 are worth 40 points, and picks 11 thru 15 are worth 65 points. Thus, there's a total of 120 points available for selecting all the correct picks.

In addition, there will be two extra way to add to your points total:

Correctly predict the total number of trades that take place over both Draft Days (Trades must take place on either June 25th or 26 to count). This will be worth a 20 point bonus.

A second 20 point bonus is available for correctly predicting the draft position of Kirill Kabanov. Considered by most to be the 'wild card' of the draft, Kabanov is considered to have top 3 talent by most, but a series of off ice issues have led to his draft ranking falling to #31, among North American skaters.

These questions should simply be sent in like this:
Number of Draft Day Trades: 5
Kabanov Draft Position: 31

2) Your picks must be sent to [email protected] (don't forget to include your SCF username!)

The deadline for the contest is Thursday June 24th at midnight (EST). The Draft is set for the 25th and 26th

By DIGG'ing the article you're helping it move up the ladder, so the more people who enter the contest on the DIGG site will help promote Sportscardforum to more collectors. Oh yeah, and when you DIGG it, it will state "DUGG!"

4) When you sign up at DIGG, you must send 30ranfordfan your userid on DIGG (or post it here) so he knows you DUGG. If he checks, only to find you haven't, your picks will not be allowed. He may contact you (at his discretion) if he wants to let you know you are not entered correctly, but ultimately, it is up to you to FOLLOW THE RULES!

5) The winner will receive their choice of any two of the following four cards:

The runner up can select their choice from the remaining two cards, and 3rd place gets the last one.

The race for the Trio Points will be as follows:
1st place including ties - 5 Trio points
2nd place including ties - 4 Trio points
3rd place including ties - 3 Trio points
4th place including ties - 2 Trio points
5th place including ties - 1 Trio point

and since staff are ineligible, If any staff place top 5, then they would be excluded in these points and the next place would receive the points. While staff can not win the trio points, they will still be eligable to win the prizes for finishing in the top 3 of the contest.
