*Anyone Try Removing Auto from Helmet Before?*
Just wondering if anybody has every tried to remove an autograph from a minihelmet before. And if so how did it go for you?

I have. Use nail polish remover and it works just fine. As long as it's just 1 auto on a helmet and not a group of autos because as you are wiping the ink does smear until it comes all the way off.

Hello,
Goof Off works well also but have a damp cloth to wipe the spot once the ink is gone to take off the chemical residue.

If the auto is in Sharpie they actually make a Sharpie remover pen. It isn't made by Sharpie but it works awesome. I think it uses acetone which is nail polish remover so you may try it.
I recommend trying it on a non-visible spot first because I have seen acetone melt certain types of plastic and it also takes off paint, so be careful.

oh you can ask ha. I went to some training camps awhile back such as the eagles, bills, and giants since I live in New York. And some of the minihelmets I have include players that turned out well and some that didn't. For example, I have a eagles helmet with 25 Scott Ware/27 Quintin Mikell/37 Sean Considine and was thinking about removing considine and ware. Hugh Douglas is also on the mini though and he was a good player for a while.

Thank You for all the responses. I have had a friend try Goo Gone awhile back but the ink never fully came out thats why I am a bit hesitant.
