The Third Annual SCF Pre-season contest (Leg Four of the Race for the Trio) sponsored by Panini

The long summer months are slowly but surely drawing to an end and you know what that means don't you? Yes, the start of yet another NHL season! To help you hang on until the start of the regular season, we are once again holding the pre-season contest. There is one small difference this year though, it is sponsored by the newly licenced Panini!

So, what can you win I hear? Well, whoever tops the leaderboard at the end of the contest will bag themselves a hobby box of Panini's first hockey release, Certified.

On top of this, there are also points towards the Race for the Trio up for grabs. There will be points awarded to the top five finishers for the Trio Race.

1st = 5pts

2nd = 4pts

3rd – 3pts

4th = 2pts

5th = 1pt

Please Note:

There will be no tie breaks as far as points are concerned. Should we have 2 people tie for 4th, they will be both awarded 2 points. However, should two or more people finish in first place, they will all get 5 points but only one of them will get the box of Certified which will be awarded by random draw.

To enter you must meet these requirements:

1)Make a minimum of 3 completed trades on SCF having received positive feedback by the end of the contest on the 6th October 20010.
2)Post a link to your completed trades in this thread (until you have met the minimum requirement of 3 completed trades from the opening of registration to the end of the contest)
3)Have an account in good standing, no serious infractions (any infractions worth 3 points or more please refer to SCF rules) and no trade disputes.
4)Post your user id when you reply to the following thread to help promote SCF on DIGGS
5)Fill in your entry form as described in the rules below

You can register for this contest from now up until the 20th September at 11.59 PM as the first pre season match is on the 21st September, until then try and complete the minimum number of trades required and be sure to keep an eye on the training camps to know who’s going to be hot this season.

To register, please post that you want to play in this thread, mentioning your DIGGs’ user ID (to allow us to check that you have dug the contest) and dig the contest on DIGGS here: http://digg.com/news/sports/sports_card_forum_contest

When you are ready to fill in your entry form, please send an email to [email protected] to request the form.

When filling in your entry form please make sure to use the correct spelling for each team, otherwise the points may not be awarded by the program as it only recognizes the correct spelling

Then, answer the following questions in the appropriate space (bottom of the entry sheet)
Who will score the most goals in the preseason?
Who will have the most assists?
Who will have the most points?

Please note that for the purpose of this contest it does not matter if a team won in overtime, shootout or in regulation.

The points will be accorded as follows:
2 points for correctly predicting each winner
1 point for correctly predicting the visiting score
1 point for correctly predicting the home score
10 points each for correctly guessing the goals, assists and points leader

To keep things interesting, the standings of the contest will be updated at least three times a week to allow us to see who is on target for taking the prize home.

But remember, to be eligible to win the prize YOU MUST have made a minimum of 3 completed trades with positive feedback from the opening of the registration period to the end of the contest, and Digg the contest. It is your responsibility to post the link to each of your completed trades in this thread if you fail to do so you will not be able to win.

Once you have reached the magic number of 3 completed trades, there is no need to carry on updating your post with new trades.

At the end of the contest, the person with the most points overall will win the box provided by our generous sponsor, Panini! In the event of a tie between two or more people, a randomizer will be used to determine who gets the prize.
