2010-11 Donruss Hockey
2010-11 Donruss NHL
Per Box Items:
24 packs per box
10 cards per pack
2010-11 Panini Donruss Hockey is a 250-card base set.
The standard sized cards have a full color action shot of the player on front. The cards are standard card stock thickness. Bordered on the right side, the set logo, player name and team logo adorn the card bottom. The card backs have a slightly smaller photo as the one on the front. Basic biographical information, last season and career statistics and moderate career highlights are listed on the card backs.

Donruss returns to it's roots with the 2010/11 Hockey release. The first thing I noticed was the old school looking Donruss logo. I was also happy to see the return of the 'Rated Rookie.' There is some great photography, but some of the players/shots are not flattering or even photogenic. There are some cool inserts to chase and for a real challenge, collectors can go after the Proof (#/100) or Die-Cut (#/30) parallel sets. On the down-side there are no guaranteed autos (or stated odds for any hit at all that I could find) and all of the Rookies being SP.
The Bottom Line:
I give 2010-11 Donruss Hockey a buy rating. A great entry level product and base set. You should be able to complete the base set with one box and some light trading. Do not expect huge hits or to make a profit flipping them, but if you are looking for a fun base set to build this is it!
The Final Score:
Final Ratings (Out of 5):
Base set collect-ability: 4/5
Big-hit Hunter: 3/5
Prospector Hunter:3/5
Overall Design: 4/5
Fun: 5/5
Value: 5/5
Re-buy: 5/5
Overall Quality: 5/5
Overall: 34/40 (85% = B)
