$5 BIN with $80 ship on ebay auction??!!??

They say when you live long enough you eventually see everything...

    Check out this ebay auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/05-06-Upper-Deck...item3a62211dbc

The seller has a Buy It Now of a whole $5 and then the body of his posting has in BIG BOLD LETTERS that you MUST read the "fine print" which goes on to say he's charging $80 for ship!

How he has 100% positive feedback is beyond me...

I saw that with some football cards to on ebay. They listed for .99 and shipping was $65.

I feel like this isn't the first of the kind I have seen. Sellers like to use shipping to make their money when they don't think that they will get the price they want for their item.

He's simply trying to avoid eBay Final Value Fees by jacking up the shipping. So instead of having a BIN of $80+shipping, he lists it that way.

Here's what you do - buy the card and file a complaint based on excessive shipping charges.

I dunno if it's a case of him avoiding fees.

His other auctions have normal shipping fees.. I just think he's trying to pull a fast one with a low priced Crosby card.

I see this all the time with hockey tickets, cuz you're not allowed to sell a ticket legally for higher than face value (it'd be scalping if you did). So 100 dollar tickets go for 1 dollar...with a 200 dollar shipping.

Haven't seen it with cards though. Interesting

That would actually be really funny, would be a good idea.
