So it looks like the WWE finally brings back the King of the Ring tournament and like I said they should do they had it on Raw instead of a PPV. Did anybody see it? Was it any good? I'm guessing not since who was in it and the WWE lately but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I missed RAW this week and didn't see the special on the WWE Network. When I catch up on it this weekend hopefully it was good.

I didnt see all of the 1st round matches on Raw but I wished this was a PPV again and the entire tournament was on the PPV. I remember how the 1st round matches had a 15 minute time limit, the semi-finals had a 30 minute time limit and the finals was either a 60 minute time limit or until there was a winner. I liked that element they used to have. It would give the guys a sense of urgency in their matches and what not. I watched the conclusion on the Network and enjoyed the matches.
All hail the new king of the ring, Bad News Barrett!!

They have made a once great tournament garbage. What once were good matches are now just another episode of RAW. You did not miss anything

I wish it was a PPV too but I guess they did horrible buyrates when they were. People didn't like buying a PPV when they didn't know the matches and it was always tough to market is what I heard.

This is interesting because I remember hearing they didnt like guys wrestling multiple times in one night. Guys were getting injured and/or more sustainable to injuries so they did away with the PPV.
The 1993 King of the Ring was my first experience and the first PPV of its kind. Bret Hart defeated Razor Ramon, Mr. Perfect and Bam Bam Bigelow to be crowned king! Only to be viciously attacked by Jerry Lawler during his coronation. This used to be such a fun tournament to watch because I love good wrestling matches at the end of the day. I hope they bring it back to replace "Extreme Rules" or something. What a joke of a PPV that was this past Sunday..

I suspect it is a combination of a low buyrate and this. I originally thought it was because of the stress and injuries the wrestlers had from the tournament but those buyrates were really low. Sucks because I always liked the KOTR and Royal Rumble PPVs over the other ones.

Very cool that we get an extra PPV during the month of May. Elimination Chamber PPV is returning.
