Remember the First Miracle On Ice Autograph set?

With all due respect to ITG for including all 20 of the 1980 USA Miracle On Ice team members on the “Decades The 80’s” checklist, it has been done before. In 1995, Signature Rookies released the Miracle on Ice set which included two autographs of each player, two of assistant coach Craig Patrick and one of head coach Herb Brooks. Each of the autographs is numbered out of 2,000.

Upper Deck was able to include only 18 of the players in the 2004-05 Miracle Men set included in Legendary Signatures. The two missing players are Jack O’Callahan and Phil Verchotta.

As “Decades The 80’s” releases, I wish to offer my thanks to In The Game for including all of these players. I, like many others, am looking forward to adding a few to my collection.

Although indeed an accomplishment for ITG, the 1995 Miracle On Ice set will remain the most complete autograph set. With only 2,000 possible sets, I am quite proud to have a complete 43-card set in my collection. Here are scans of my complete set of autographs.

Awesome set, I thought about doing it myself years ago, but got caught up collecting some guys named Gretzky & Howe. ITG did a great job on thier set too, and not to knock ITG, but how great would it have been to throw in a few Herb Brooks cuts to spice things up with the Team USA set

Thanks for showing the complete set. I am working on the 04-05 Miracle Men AU set (11/18) and the ITG Decades just released Team USA set. Also starting on the first set and hoping to complete all three.
