Anyone familiar with the Prospect League?

I am taking my son to a Prospect League game this weekend and was wondering if there were any players worth graphing there. Going to see Richmond River Rats vs. Nashville Outlaws.

It's a collegiate summer wood bat league, so they are all college players with very limited stuff unless they have some USA cards....

I was just curious if there was anyone playing in that league that had potential to be drafted. I'm just not familiar with collegiate players. Plus I would make a CIC from pictures on the Prospect League website or buy a program if I needed something to have them sign.

Make sure to check out the gift shop! I was shocked to find signed tickets autographed by Pete Rose at a Richmond Roosters game 10 years ago.

I will, they were the Roosters the last time I was there too.

I looked at the roster of only one of the teams and didn't look like there would be a high draft pick. Most from very small schools.

That was my thinking as well, looked like a couple players from Big Ten schools but most from smaller schools. Maybe I will just sit back and enjoy some baseball.

Sounds like a great day! You are also within driving distance of the Reds, Indy Indians and Dayton Dragons.

    I am:

20 minutes to Dragons (go at least once a season but try for more)

50 minutes to Cincy (been a few times already)

1 Hour + to Indy (never been to see the Indians but would like to go)

My wife and I also drove up to Cleveland this year to see the Reds lose at Progressive Field.
