Continuing in our Race for the Price SCF's hockey team would like to present the PRO·LINE contest!

The grand prize for the PRO·LINE contest this year is: TBA

Weekly Points leaders will also receive 100 CC.

As this is a short-term contest, points for "The Race For The Price" will be awarded as follows:
1st place 5 points
2nd place 4 points
3rd place 3 points
4th place 2 points
5th place 1 points

To participate, be sure to complete these three easy steps:

2. Post in this thread expressing your interest and your Digg ID to confirm step 1.
3. Fill out the forms to accumulate points.

Fill out the PRO·LINE form for each day. If you aren't familiar with PRO·LINE, its a lottery ticket available in Ontario where you have to predict the winner of each hockey game and by how many goals. SCF will be using a similar setup.

For each game, you have to choose the final score and how many goals are scored. Here is an example:

Game 1: OTT @ NYI

Question 1: Game 1 - PRO·LINE - Chose one
Visitors Win by 2 or more (1.5 points)
Visitors Win by 1 or more (1 point)
Tie Game (after OT) (3.5 points if correct)
Home Wins by 1 or more (1 points)
Home Wins by 2 or more (1.5 points)

Question 2: Game 1 - What is the total of the final score? 3 Points for correct answer

Rules:
In addition to making your predictions on a daily basis, you must:
- Successfully complete a minimum of 2 trades at SCF. This means trades initiated and completed between now and March 31st, 2012.
Any Infractions or Negative Trade Feedback received during the contest will result in an automatic disqualification from the contest.

Weekly Leaders will have their CC awarded at the end of the contest to make sure that all contest requirements are met.

This contest will be run based on the success of your daily predictions. Weekly point totals will be posted and at the of each week the user with the most points will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the user who has the least number of correct answers will be declared the winner. If necessary, a tie-breaker will be held at the next available opportunity.

That is correct. If boston wins by three goals, both would be correct!

BUT, if you look at the form, you get 1.5 points for guessing visitors winning by 2 or more. You only get 1 point for guessing that visitors win by 1 or more.

Also remember that if the game is won by a shoot out that neither of those would be correct. These only apply to games won in regulation or OT. That's why we have an option for "tie" as well. If you correctly guess a tie game, you get 3.5 points.
