Nice 3-2 win tonight,other than giving up 2 solo homers to Hamilton Garcia pitched 6 and 2/3rds of good baseball,Robertson and Soriano finished it off.For the most part the bats were asleep,but 1 3 run inning is all it took tonight.7 out of their last 8 keep it up Yankees.

Stupid stupid stupid bunt that Girardi had Jeter do in the 8th with two men on already. Geez, one of the hottest hitters in baseball right now, and no Phil Rizzuto when it comes to bunting, and he has him bunt (which of course he bunts into a double play destroying the inning). I hate the bunt, its a relic, a holdover from the old days. Stats have shown that you are usually better NOT bunting, at least with certain players who are capable RBI men. Nix was a fine bunt, but not Jeter after him.

I agree dabigyankeeman,it is moves like that that usually cost teams a win,luckily even with an extra out in the 9th due to a blown call at first the Rangers still couldn't capitalize

Matinee baseball today Holland vs.Nova,hopefully Ivan can find himself as he hasn't been pitching good lately.I expect today's game to be a high scoring affair,I'm going to say 9-7 Rangers as I don't see the Yankees sweeping Texas although it would be nice.

Here's a stat I just found on mlb.com,and why the Yankees aren't really missin g A-rod,combined Chavez,Nix,and Mcgehee are 29 of 71 for a .408 average with 7 homers 16 rbi's and 17 runs scored,I truly doubt A-rod would've been that productive in the 20 games he's missed.

10-6 loss today in a very sloppy game,maybe Joba needs to go back on the dl,but you guys can't say I didn't see this loss coming as if you look a few posts above I predicted a Texas 9-7 win.
