We are going to get to the playoffs and the bats will go cold and pitching will faulter.where is the consistency???

If they make the playoffs they will be done in the first round. They really need to gut this team for next year because outside of a handful of players the other guys just sit around and wait for those guys to do all the work and they just ride the coattails. When those players are missing then the wheels come off the bus and the true identity of these guys are revealed.

I agree they do need to gut the team,starting with the manager.I've been saying this all along,you give Showalter the Yankees and Girardi the Orioles the Yankees would still be leading the division by 10 games.

If the Yankees miss the playoffs I do not see how Girardi stays and maybe even Cashman. The new regime has been hesitant to make changes while if George was still around and running things you probably would have had a couple different managers this year already.

Cashman has been working under trying to not spend a lot of money, this has not been the Yankee way, but they want to be under the $189-mil salary mark due to upcoming big luxury tax. George wouldnt have worried about that.

Looks like another loss,down 5-2 after the top of the 8th,they will now be in a tie for first with the Orioles.On the bright side Football season starts tomorrow night Cowboys vs.Giants has to be more entertaining than this garbage.

Me too and I'm really sad that Upper Deck never made an autograph card of him even though they made tons of Yankee related sets where they could have. Not talking about cuts but autographed cards. Too late for that now unfortunately.

Yes it would be pretty tough without the Captain,but last I heard he will be playing tonight.
