    NBA stars to play in Obama basketball fundraiser

    President Barack Obama's re-election campaign is bringing together more than two dozen NBA stars for a fundraising basketball game next month.

    Obama's campaign says Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks, Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics, Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat and many others will headline the "Obama Classic Basketball Game" on Dec. 12 in Washington.

    Tickets range from $100 to $5,000 for courtside seats. The money will go to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising account by the Democratic Party and Obama's re-election campaign.

    Well... There isnt anything else going on in the world that he cant take some time out of his schedule and enjoy a little night of basketball that isnt played on an aircraft carrier.....

    Why is President Obama held to a higher standard than any other president? Previous presidents took time out of their schedule, many during war time to hit the golf course.

    And their feet were held to the fire also... The bigger issue I have with Obama is he has spent so much time on the fundraising trail instead of being a president.

    Compared to other presidents, he's doing very little "fundraising". But any effort for his re-election is unneeded since all the republicans are so unintelligent and money hungry...

    every politician running for election or re-election is doing the same thing... campaigning rather than doing a job they were hired to do. I think this would be a good reason to have a limited campaign cycle of a 4-5 months rather than 18 months to 2 years.

    With a planned war chest of 1 billion from unions and Major corporations he shouldn't have to do any fundraising .
