So you vote for a politician based on his promise to put money in your pocket?

I AM NOT a Romney fan. However, it seems that his comment is related to freebie hand-outs, not to fixing the economy and "putting money in people's pockets" through jobs.

HuffPost has a habit of taking one or two comments and making them seem like a bigger issue than they are. I would want to see the entire transcript before passing final judgement.

Habit. That's a cute way to put it. I'd have said "HuffPo makes a living off of..."

Of course I'm not going to vote for a canidate based on him/her telling what I want to hear but I am concerned when a canidate who ultimate works for me/us the voters who comes out and days that he is not trying to put money in our pockets. Most employers are in the busniess of making money and they hire employees and pay them in order to make money. It seems like to me this guy is already in bed with the big coorporations and is only out for his own bottom line and not for the best intrests of the voters.

You are taking his comments out of context. See Duane's comment above.

Basically, what he is saying is that he is NOT going to take money from one citizen and give it to another, and I'm with him on that. It's not the governments role to take from Jim to give to Tom and that is what Obama has done. Remember the tax rebates for people that didn't pay tax?

I know out of the trillions spent by this administration billions went to fund things like a bridge for frogs and billions went to failed companies where the leadership contributed in a big way to Obama.

The role of government is to provide a level playing field and provide for a safe environment to live. Opportunity and safety, not health care, food, shelter and everything else you should be providing for yourself. I'm with Romney on this 100%. If he becomes President he shouldn't look to get another $3 trillion stimulus package to put money in anyone's pocket, individual or business.
