U.S. asks journals to censor bird flu studies

    http://news.yahoo.com/u-asks-journal...190015213.html

A U.S. scientific advisory board on Tuesday asked two scientific journals to leave out data from research studies on a lab-made version of bird flu that could spread more easily to humans, fearing it could be used as a potential weapon.

The U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity has asked the journals Nature and Science to publish redacted versions of the studies by two research groups that reportedly created forms of the H5N1 avian flu that could easily jump between ferrets -- typically considered a sign that the virus could spread quickly among humans.

Both journals said in separate statements they are working with the advisory board and taking the matter seriously, but they chafed at the notion of scientific censorship.

The bird flu virus is extremely deadly in people who are directly exposed to infected birds, but so far, it has not mutated into a form that can pass easily from person to person.

According to the journals, two research labs have submitted papers showing how to make the virus more transmissible in humans, and the NSABB, an independent expert committee that advises the Department of Health and Human Services and other federal agencies, wants to keep this information from falling into the wrong hands.

Funny. When it is to keep bad people from learning about a deadly virus they 'chafe" at the idea of redacting their report. When it is about global warming they don't hesitate to keep pertinent info tucked away.

    Exactly my thoughts.

It isnt a bird flu since its made in a lab as much as a biological weapon hence the hush hush on it.

6 of one, a half dozen of the other. It is a lab-created super version of H5N1.

That is sort of like saying hybrid tomatoes are not actually tomatoes because they were modified and specialized in a lab.

What baffles me is why they create this stuff. Why is it that these people are so smart that they can create these things but they are too stupid to realize what a danger to the world their creations are?

The only reasonable sense it would be produced is as a weapon. It has zero use in any other way

exactly. people should research chem trails. both UK and USA governments have admitted to using them on the public, but they still kiss the government's butt and go vote.

What does voting have to do with it?....
