Today I got former Chicago Bears defensive end, and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Dan Hampton, 3 cards signed (one for another SCF board member as a 50/50) for free at a radio show in Northfield, IL.

Today I got current Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland, 2 cards signed for free, at an appearance in Libertyville, IL.

Today, I went to one of the stops, in Libertyville, IL, on the Chicago Cubs Caravan, and got quite a few autographs for a small charitable donation to a local little league. I got 2 autos on trading cards for new Cubs manager Dale Sveum, 2 autos on trading cards for former Cub and broadcaster Keith Moreland (yes, a needed 1987 Topps auto!), 1 auto on a generic Wrigley Field trading card for Cubs prospect Jeff Beliveau, 2 autos on trading cards from Cubs pitcher James Russell, 5 autos on tradng cards from Cubs starting pitcher Randy Wells, and 2 autos on 8x10's of Cubs 2nd baseman Darwin Barney.
Other attendees at the event were coaches Rudy Jarmillo and Lester Strode.

Yesterday I got former Chicago Bears linebacker and Super Bowl XX champion Otis Wilson, 2 cards signed for free at an appearance in Arlington Heights, IL.

OK, well this isn't exactly a Chicago suburbs post, but I went to the Milwaukee Admirals AHL Game today, and they were doing a tribute to wrestling, with Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff, Paul Bearer, Molly Holly, and Mick Foley. I was able to get two cards signed of Orndorff, 2 of Bearer, 1 card and 1 8x10 of Foley, and I didn't have anything for Holly, but she signed a black and white photo of all four of them that they were handing out.

Yesterday I got Steve McMichael and Dan Hampton from Chicago Bears. I also got Brent Seabrook and Viktor Stalberg from Chicago Black Hawks. They were all at the Chicago Auto Show.

Today I got current Chicago Blackhawks young defenseman Nick Leddy, 4 cards signed, for free, at an appearance in Melrose Park, IL, and also former Chicago Blackhawks player and current broadcaster Troy Murray, 1 card signed for free at the same appearance.

Today I got former Olympic figure skating Gold Medalist, Dancing With the Stars Champion, and children's book author Kristi Yamaguchi, signatures on her new book and one card signed, for the cost of the book (proceeds of the book sale go to charity), at a book tour stop in Wilmette, IL.
