LOL. Glad your boy, Dwane Casey, came through. Otherwise, it would have been a waste of time to wait in the cold after Landry signed. But yeah, probably will see you next week. If not then in a couple of weeks for the Cavs then.

Former Detroit Tiger third baseman/catcher and member of their 1984 World Series winning team, Marty Castillo, made an appearance for a paid signing he was doing at the Gibraltar Trade Center out in Taylor, MI today. Paid the signing fee along with the inscription fee and got Marty to sign my ROMLB along with the inscription of "1984 W.S. Champs" on it.

Detroit Red Wings alumni Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby, plus hockey HOFer Alex Delvecchio made an appearance to sign autographs at the Hockeytown Authentics store out in Troy, MI as part of the teams' annual Toys for Tots collection held there today. For a $30 donation or a toy donation of equal value, the alumni would sign 1 item each per person. Made a monetary donation, got Draper to sign my puck with "4 x S.C. Champ" inscription, got Maltby to sign my puck with "4 X S.C. Champ", and Delvecchio to sign my puck with "HOF 77".

Later at night, stopped by the Detroit Lions' hotel to graph them upon arrival to check into the hotel. Got the following to sign:

defensive tackle Kyle Vanden Bosch - 1/1 8 x 10 Lions logo photo

    offensive tackle Jeff Backus - 1/1 8 x 10 Lions logo photo

wide receiver Brian Robiskie - 1/2 trading cards

defensive end Ronnell Lewis - 1/1 trading card

wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Jr. - 1/1 micro-helmet (helps that there were only 6 graphers there when he pulled up)

    defensive tackle Nick Fairley - 1/1 8 x 10 photo, 1/1 trading card

kicker Jason Hanson - 1/1 game ticket for tomorrow's game against the Colts

    tight end Brandan Pettigrew - 1/1 mini-football

wide receiver Ryan Broyles - 1/1 trading card

    running back Mikel Leshoure - 1/1 mini-football

    tight end Tony Scheffler - 1/1 8 x 10 photo

wide receiver Mike Thomas - 2/2 trading cards

    Missed out on the following:

    defensive end Lawrence Jackson - 0/1 8 x 10 photo (ignored)

defensive end Ndamukong Suh - 0/1 8 x 10 photo (ignored like always)

    quarterback Matthew Stafford - 0/1 micro-helmet (ignored)

quarterback Shaun Hill - 0/1 (ignored)

wide receiver Titus Young - 2/2 trading cards (no sign of him after his fall-out with the team; probably done as a Lion)

quarterback Kellen Moore - 0/1 trading card (didn't see)

offensive tackle Riley Reiff - 0/1 trading card (didn't see)

running back Kevin Smith - 0/1 trading card (didn't see)

wide receiver coach Shawn Jefferson - 0/1 trading card (ignored with his headphones on. Really!?)

Nice stuff as always! Probably a dumb question, but what is the deal with Suh?

Ndamukong Suh is an enigma. Away from the camera, he isn't very nice and mostly sticks to himself. I love him as a player, but hate him as a person. I honestly think he has some mental and anger issues. It doesn't help that he has an ego, that he is better than what he really is, to go along with that too. I don't want to see him go to another team once his contract is up, knowing that he'll come back and demolish the Lions, but I don't think the Lions want to continue picking up his baggages any longer.

Attended the Detroit Lions vs. Indianapolis Colts game at Ford Field today. Arrived early at the time the gates opened to try to graph anybody who would sign by the tunnel. Got the following to sign for me after they finished warming up:

Lions' wide receiver Mike Thomas - 1/1 trading card

Lions' tight end Tony Scheffler and running back Joique Bell also signed, but I had nothing for them. Majorly missed out on Colts' quarterback Andrew Luck as he proceeded to sign for 4-5 people on the visitors' side of the tunnel and didn't come over to the side where I was waiting at.

Of course, the game was going all Detroit's way until that final second touchdown pass by Andrew Luck to Donnie Avery, sealing the win for the Colts. Afterward, came out and waited by the barricaded section where the buses were parked to see if I could catch any of the Colts players coming over to sign. Got the following to sign as they came out to meet and greet with family members and friends before boarding the bus:

cornerback Darius Butler - 1/1 trading card

    quarterback Andrew Luck - 1/1 mini-helmet

He was escorted by team security to meet up with his grandmother and relatives when he came out. The team security told everybody he wasn't signing any autographs. As he was done meeting up with his relatives and proceeded to be escorted by security towards the bus, a grapher asked him politely if he could sign his mini-helmet. He took the grapher's blue Sharpie and signed his mini-helmet. I was right beside him, stuck out my mini-helmet, and Andrew signed mine (the beginning part of his auto didn't come out well though) as well, thanking him after. I believe he signed maybe for 1 or 2 more people before heading straight for the bus. I just laughed at the disappointment on the dealers' faces before getting out of there with the quickness.

Former Lion/current Colts' back-up quarterback Drew Stanton came out to meet up with relatives before Luck came out, but only signed for his relative's kid and another kid waiting there. Linebacker Dwight Freeney came out to meet up with family and friends, but I didn't go get him as I was waiting for Luck to come out. Didn't wait around to see wide receivers T.Y. Hilton and Reggie Wayne come out after getting Luck.

Nice Luck! and you're right about Suh, when the Giants were here for the postseason, Suh came to the hotel for whatever reason and turned down a 12-13 year old boy 1 on 1. Guess he wasn't a "true fan".

Graphed the Cleveland Cavaliers at their hotel as they boarded the bus to the game against the Detroit Pistons tonight. Got the following to sign:

    forward C.J. Miles - 1/1 trading card

guard Dion Waiters - 1/1 index card (had nothing for him to sign, so opted for an IC)

guard Daniel Gibson - 1/1 trading card

    guard Kyrie Irving - 1/1 8 x 10 photo

forward Alonzo Gee - 1/2 trading cards

    Missed out on the following:

guard Jeremy Pargo - 0/1 trading card (hopped into a cab without signing)

forward Luke Walton - 0/1 trading card (ignored while he hopped into a cab)

center Anderson Varejao - 0/1 trading card (just waved)

forward Omri Casspi - 0/1 (ignored)

forward Tristan Thompson - 0/1 (ignored)

head coach Byron Scott - 0/1 trading card (said he had to go)

Jon Leuer also signed, but I didn't have anything for him. Didn't need anyone else.
