A lot of people say that they don't need to arm themselves for protection because that is what the police are for. This is a foolish mentality. The police will rarely arrive in time for anything but to document what happened to you before they got there.

Fair warning to anyone thinking of breaking into my house...I will not wait for approval from a 911 operator. Just saying.
