Good season ends in a bad way, can't wait till Spring Training.

I don't want to feel this way come next October for a 3rd season in a row.

Oh, and Casilla broke Infante's hand, so there's that. Sounds like he'll be fine come 2013, though.

Tigers chose a great time not to hit. Oh well, give credit to the Giants for beating us. We get V-Mart back next season, which hopefully means Delmon is gone.

I just wish JV would've had the chance to avenge his game 1 performance.

Yes, of course. The Giants won this series, no doubt about it, and they played better.

Dombrowski and crew have a lot of work to do, they could use atleast one RHH corner outfielder (someone like a Reed Johnson), need to decide if they are going to bring Sanchez back or not, and decide if they want to bring Laird back as a backup catcher (because he did a fine job in that role). Also need to decide if Jhonny Peralta should start at shortstop next season. Interesting offseason about to take place, lots of salary coming off the books, and arbitration will lead to a lot of raises taking place as well.

Would Jhonny play 2nd base, if not SS? Do you think VMart would serve as our backup catcher with his knee injury, or will he strictly play 1b/dh? And I agree that they need to do something with LF or RF. I've had enough platooning through the season. A lefty starter, and another in the pen would help too.

99.9% positive that'd be out of the question for Peralta. His range is bad at SS, would be even worse at 2B. I think they want to keep V-Mart as a fulltime DH, especially after the knee surgery.

Garcia and Castellanos will be in the minors, but I don't think Castellanos is close to ready (probably 2014), and Garcia still needs some seasoning in the minors. Lots of decisions, but the core of the team should be terrific.

I didn't think Peralta would move to 2b, but he's gonna need some work if he is going to play OF. No way Castellanos makes the team next spring. He needs some higher level seasoning first. No need to rush him. Garcia could make the club, but it all depends on what they do with Young, Berry, Boesch, and Dirks. Your probably right about 2014 on those 2, unless Garcia gets traded.

They will still be the favorite to take their division. Not much competition. Though i did see them winning by double digits this last yr, Sox surprised me.
