Mike Piazza + More!

For the last 10 years, I've had one goal in life. Meet an acquire an autograph of Mike Piazza. He's been my favorite player that whole time, and I've amassed a nice collection of his cards. But there's one issue. He never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, signs. Not at shows, not at games, not at anywhere. For the first time ever, I noticed he was doing a show about an hour from where I live. Today I drove up, through the snow, and met him. I shook his hand, and he signed an 8x10. It was great.

As for the rest of the day, it was a card show, with more autograph signings, so I got some more cool stuff.

I met Al Jackson 2/2 8x10
I met Jay Hook 1/1 8x10 inscribed 1st Met win 4/23/62
I got a Kevin Durant RC, an autograph of Don Cardwell for my '69 Mets collection, a 2006 Topps Clint Barmes autograph for kidvetnj, a Robbie Aviles autograph, and a 1956 Gil Hodges, a card I've wanted for a while.

This was a great day, but I'm not even done with my graphing for the weekend!

Does he live down in Florida? That's what I've heard...

I was quite surprised by his kindness, I've often been warned not to get to excited about meeting him because he's an a**, and that he doesn't care about the fans at all, but he was really nice. It was pretty special stuff.

What does piazza charge, I'd love for him to sign my dodger auto'd poster someday!!!!

Where in South Florida does he sign? I'd overpay to get his signature down here.

I have got Pizza 3 diffent time in St Lucie. The last being when he coached the italian team in the WBC. The first 2 times i got him he was very quite and just signed, the last he was very social and friendly..
