    Getting stuff authenticated

I won a Troy Aikman signed mini helmet from a raffle....the guy that had the raffle was well known for getting alot of stuff signed and it only cost me 8 bucks to join. I do 100% believe it is Troy Aikman auto but I dont have any proof.

My question is what is the best company to send it too and how much does it cost to get something like this checked.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated

I believe that PSA has a list with the prices to verify the signatures. It varies depending on who it is.

the rarer or higher valued players are most expensive, ie. Muhammad Ali by PSA costs 100$ an autograph, pass or fail. Gretzky is in the 80-100$ range too, but u can check the list for anyone.

JSA is also highly followed and are a bit cheaper, ie. Muhammad Ali is 75$ a piece vs 100$ from PSA

Unless you plan on selling or trading I would not get it authenticated. Since you said "the best company" that would be PSA/DNA. I don't trust any of the authentication companies, but that's me...Rick

PSA/DNA and JSA are great at what they do, but if your keeping it personally and know its 100% real why waste the money?? Not worth spending 100$ to get it done just to tell your friends "heres proof it is real". Depending on the item, its still hardly ever worth while. People will still buy that helmet without a COA attached to it.

Keep us updated on what you do and the costs :) would love to know how much once its said and done with shipping, etc.
