Tampa free draft party w/former players

    http://lightning.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=634554
NHL seems to step up for fans with these free draft parties! Tampa has a few former stars floating around for fans as well as giving out some merchandise! I would suggest anyone in a NHL city visit their local teams web site to see if they are doing something like this as well!

Not sure if I'm going to make the drive downtown to go to this one, but the team is also doing a summer tour, visiting different Chili's locations around the area, with a player or two signing at each one. I think there's two or three stops left

I already checked on the Wild. I wish they were doing this. They are having a "draft party" at Tom Reid's Pub, so he may be there, then their GM is supposed to be there, but that was all. Not worth driving to St. Paul for. I'm sure current/former players will show unannounced, though. That seems to happen often when I skip out on this stuff.

I read earlier that Columbus is doing something similar w/ free t-shrits, cheap/free food, at least 3 players on hand to sign autos and even a tour of the locker room along w/ draft viewing of course. Very neat idea!

Yupp, RJ Umberger, James Wisniewski, and I believe Cam Atkinson are signing...free t-shirt to the first 500 or so people, I think? Considering going...

Most do something similar, I think. The Vikings do, but they charge for autos. The Timberwolves of the NBA used to, but I was informed they weren't this year.

The Islanders are also doing something. They do it every year. I believe Tavares will be there giving out his crappy autograph
