this was just horrible way to start the season

oh well ending where they finished last season

I think some of it has to do with the players dislike for Bobby V. If they can't at least go .500 in the first 15 games, its about as over as it can get.

Throwing a lot of Fastballs is fine, the problem is the location. When you throw them over the heart of the plate, any major league player will make you pay when you do it enough.

I watched the pitchers throw the ball right down the middle and that is why they lost. The Tigers have dangerous hitters, so lets throw a fastball or curveball right over the middle of the plate. Unreal.

Dan you cant throw fastballs to the 2 best hitters in the lineup and not expect then to at least get some contact on the ball and put it in play...

off speed stuff and low and away make them chase a few
then a fastball...they didnt even try to fool them
that was just horrible

Well, any pitch a great hitter will put in play.

If you throw offspeed pitches low, great hitters like Cabrera will just take the walk. Throwing fastballs inside works well on hitters, you just can't miss on location.
