    SDre31's TTM Success Thread

One of the reasons why I joined SCF is because I heard great things about their TTM manager and threads. It definitely hasn't disappointed! I just started sending in mid-February and have some successes I'd like to share.

While I'll be sending to players for different reasons, I've also decided to start an autograph project. My goal is to collect TTM or in person autographs of all the Brooklyn Cyclones to play in the major leagues. The Brooklyn Cyclones are the short season Single A affiliate of the Mets. Being a Mets fan from Brooklyn, they're one of my favorite teams. I would like the card to be of the team they debuted with, no earlier than their debut year, and with their Brooklyn stats on the back. Not all players have cards that meet this criteria, so I'll be flexible.

There have been 45 Cyclones to reach the big leagues since the team started play in 2001. Some of these guys are out of baseball, so they might be hard to track down. I also have to pick up cards of a bunch of them first.

Thanks! The list got one name longer after Kirk Nieuwenhuis made his MLB debut with the Mets this afternoon. He's the 4th guy from the '08 team to make it to the big leagues, and they all debuted with the Mets which is pretty cool to me.

@cerratode: I think I'll be using justcommons for the most part. They've got some good deals plus free shipping when you make a $10+ purchase.

Enough with me talking, it's time to show off some returns I've already gotten this spring. Here is my first-ever TTM return. It was definitely some beginner's luck!

This was my second return this Spring. I probably should have sent a nicer baseball than this cheap one.

I received Clay Rapada TTM yesterday. He's not a household name, but it's a big deal for me because he's one of a handful of major leaguers in baseball history who are of Filipino descent like me. Even though I'm a Mets fan, it's a bonus that he now plays locally for the Yankees. This will fit perfectly into my small Filipino players/cards PC.

    c/o N.Y. Yankees (Yankee Stadium)
