"Liberal Group Says"...Need I read any further?
a group of laws that Democrats say are designed to limit the voting of people likely to back President Obama.
So who are these people that are most likely to vote for Obama that are in Florida and Texas? Texas has voted Republican in 9 of the last 10 elections. Florida has voted Republican in 7 of the last 10 elections. The answer is amazingly simple. These laws stop illegal aliens from voting, not legal residents.
All this is is a puff peice by a bunch of anti-democracy liberals who want to facilitate the corruption of our election process by helping people break the law and vote in an election that they have no legal right to vote in. They would rather win the election through allowing illegals to vote than protect the sanctity of our democracy.
Our troops go to other countries to help topple dictators who fix elections and use deceptive means to stay in power, all the while we have a president who is the head of a political party that supports the exact same tactics. What a joke.
Show me someone who refuses to prove that they are a citizen in order to vote and I will show you someone who either is an illegal alien and has no right to vote or is a convicted criminal and has no right to vote.

He was on topic, when you quoted him you took 2 paragraphs out.
I love how they say these laws are trying to prevent people who would be most likely to back Obama, and the two laws they listed prevent aliens and felons from easily voting.
If those two are two of Obama's main backers then Obama has some problems.Last edited by boba; 04-10-2012 at 01:20 PM.

Of those who are currently blocked from voting, those would be the two main groups in FL and TX who will be prevented from voting by the laws in question. By requiring ID illegals who have none and convicts who are blocked from voting by other laws will no longer be able to vote.
Legal citizens of the United States who have a legal right to vote will not be prevented from voting by those laws.

I have yet to see stats showing the problems that brought these voter ID laws into existence.
