I have never been on walfare and I only had 1 job that made me get a drug test. I have no problem being drug tested for either. No one is forcing me to apply for that particular job or to get walfare. If I don't want to be tested I can simply decline the job or not accept welfare assistance.Drug and smoke free trading.

True enough, but what minimum wage job drug tests? Unless you're paying them the wages of the average tested job, it seems unfair to me.
Also, what drugs are we testing for? All drugs? Or is alcohol okay (and marijuana in WA, CO)? Will it be levels of substances or just the fact they're there?
Ultimately saying "drug testing for welfare" means nothing without some actual specificity. Most people perpetuating this little saying haven't thought about any of this and don't at all care to.
That's your right, but it's shortsighted and useless.
