Will Miguel Cabrera win the Triple Crown?
There were threads early in the season for Kemp and Hamilton, but it's now August 15th, and Miguel Cabrera has a realistic chance at the triple crown.
As of right now here's where Cabrera is at:
Average - 2nd (.13 behind Mike Trout for first)
Home runs - 3rd (3 behind Adam Dunn for first)
RBI - 1st (3 ahead of Josh Hamilton)
I think he has a chance. Could easily see him having the most RBI and the highest average, but for him, I think the home runs may be what he doesn't lead the AL in.

I dont see it happening. Trout is just so dominant right now and I dont see him slowing down or Miggy catching his average. He has a good shot for the other two, though.

I say no. He should win the RBI title and could end up winning the batting title but I think there are too many people that can easily beat him for most home runs for him to win the Triple Crown. Most Cabrera has ever hit in a season is 38 and I think he will need more than that to win the HR title.Trade Bucket: Hidden Content

I actually think he has a very good chance. Cabrera plays 158 + games every year, so durability is not a concern. He's in a really good lineup, and has a favorable schedule with 16 games left against Kansas City and Minnesota.

No on triple crown, yes on MVP though
A lot of experts "if that matters" said that if it is close, Cabrera wins because he has been close so many times. Not sure if I believe it, but those voters are strange people. If it is close, I do think Cabrera gets the nod for MVP.

MVP gonna go to Trout IMO.

Cabrera's currently 1st in batting average, 1st in RBI, and 2nd in home runs (2 behind Hamilton).
