I'd give it to Braun, but I suspect Posey will get it (because of the silly narrative that a guy on a playoff team is somehow more valuable to his team than a guy who's on a worse team).

Why are Votto and Kemp even on this list? Both will have missed about a third of the season.
Right now, the MVP should be:
Braun .311, 90 runs, 29 doubles, 37 home runs, 98 RBI, 22 SB, .993 OPS
Posey .324, 62 runs, 32 doubles, 19 home runs, 85 RBI, .924 OPS
McCutchen .345, 93 runs, 26 doubles, 24 home runs, 83 RBI, 16 SB, .969 OPS

It would have hands down been McCutchen if he didn't tail off in the second half. Posey has been consistent all year, but I can't see him getting it since he's relatively new to the league and typically younger players don't win the mvp unless they blow away the field. Braun shouldn't be in contention either since his team hasn't been in the playoff race all year and he won it last year. The time that Kemp and Votto have missed hasn't made that big a difference to their respective teams and I think the Reds have actually played better with Votto out t his year. That being said, the MVP race is up in the air, but at the end of the day I can see Braun winning again b/c he has the best numbers and that's what this award typically goes to.

I voted for Posey because of how valuable he is to the Giants both with being the cleanup hitter in the lineup as well as all the work that he does with the pitching staff and the pitch calling against rival batters

I voted for Posey because, well, I'm a homer lol. Seriously would have given it to cutch, but his second half has not been to great. No braun, you got it last year when kemp probably should have and you got off on a technicality.Collecting patches and autos of Buckeyes, SF Giants, SF 49ers,Browns, Indians, Cavs. Kevin Randleman and Mark Coleman items....
Check the bucket for trades.....
The argument can't be broken!

LOL @ all the Buster Posey love. Braun has twice as many home runs. His OPS is 67 points higher. Braun has 14 more RBI, 28 more runs scored. The only thing Posey is doing better is his batting average, and that's only 13 points.
