It's pretty close, but overall I'd lean towards Hamilton. It can definitely change, but I'd go with him right now. My top five is probably something like this :
1. Miguel Cabrera
2. Josh Hamilton
3. Mike Trout
4. Derek Jeter
5. David Price

Mike Trout, and it's not really close. I'd obviously love Miggy to win one (considering he was jobbed out of it in 2010), but Trout is far and away the MVP.
This is just a personal opinion, but I would not even have Josh Hamilton in my top 5. When you have a 6-8 week stretch where you are just completely awful, there is no way you're the MVP.

Mike Trout, no contest. The Angels were dead in the water until he came along. He's been the most dynamic player in the game this year, and at 20 years old.
baseballboy2, you have some weird ideas when it comes to MVP. You really do.

Wouldn't a guy that almost single handedly saved his team's season make him the most valuable? The Angels were going nowhere until he came along. His talent, and enthusiasm, turned the season around for them.

everyone started playing better not just Trout
I'm Miguel Cabrera MVP'ing and in my eyes thats actually no question. Every big situation he comes through he's a rock in that line up and when he gets out (minus K's) he lines out. I just think this guy is the scariest hitter to face in baseball and the best player no holes in his game.Hidden Content

He's still the MVP at the moment, in my opinion, but placing a false narrative isn't fair to everyone else, because you could just as easily place a narrative onto other players.
