Hey! Want an autograph from you favorite MLB star?!?!?! Well, now you can get some of the biggest names easily. Here's the catch, while is is a "real" autograph, it's not really a real autograph. Confused? Read further:

I received a newsletter from MLB.com that linked to this e-graph thing. I think it looks kind of neat simply because of the idea that you will receive a 'voice' response from the athlete, however, as much as they say the signature is a "real" and "authentic" autograph, I just can't agree. Sure, it's been authenticated, but it looks like it's merely an authenticated autoprint. So it's real, but not really.
I didn't look at anyone else's prices outside of David Wright's, but he ranged from 50-75 dollars.
Apparently you can look at recent e-graphs and listen to them, but my work computer won't allow that. I can watch netflix apparently, but not listen to a few second sound clip of David Wright.
What does everyone think of this?"Higher - Faster - Stronger"

View my store BetaI got that same e-mail and was going to post it. MLB stated it's the "next generation of autographing". It's so extremely lame. I hope this fad dies out quickly.

View my store BetaI got this email, too. I agree with Eddie_2, hopefully it will die soon. It should. No one should pay that much for an email with an autograph in it. Stupid, and pointless. How desperate do you have to be for page views and money to come up with a stupid idea like this? Appearantly not very.
Love the sarcasm in the orginal post, btw. Had me cracking up. Haha2013 autograph counts:

View my store BetaI think the idea behind this is not so much the autograph as it is the personalized note from the athlete, although I could be wrong

View my store BetaPersonalized note and a voice message, gives the player time to respond to fan requests while in the airport, bus, in the hotel, etc. I agree the autograph aspect of it is a bit strange since it's not an actual autograph. The company is being sued by a guy who says he presented the idea to the Rays several years ago and they declined.

View my store Betawhat mberger718 said. autovoice or something or something would be a better name. Autopen part should be banned like gambling in MLB

View my store BetaWait, you have to pay for it? Ummm, I wouldn't want it if it were free. A personalized message huh? Isn't that what Twitter is for? Pen to paper is the only way I will accept, seek, or obtain an autograph.
I collect NY Yankees, NY Giants, NY Rangers, NY Knicks, and NJ Nets. I am willing to trade. PM me if you have any cards signed by players from these teams.
Working on collecting all living New York Giants (football) and New York Yankees. The question is which team drives me nuts first!!!
