Buying Silver/Gold scrap, will also trade books :)
Here is how it works
You send, I weigh, I pay.
I pay based on Market price open the following morning that the package shows delivery. This eliminates hostility if there is a fluctuation during market price on a day your package shows delivered since I do not pick up till 5pm.
You pay shipping to me and I refund shipping costs when paying you via paypal.
If your item has STONES in them, they will be popped out and discarded. I know most people do not know it, but if it is a diamond and under 1/2 carat it is crap. If you prefer to keep the stones, break them out before hand.
If there is a market drop and you refuse the money and request the items be sent back, you pay return shipping with no refund on initial shipping. I don't want anyone upset, but I do not want to take the brunt of a changed mind.
I WILL NOT SEND BACK IF YOU REQUEST IT THE DAY OF DELIVERY AFTER 5PM AND ONWARD...please,understand this. It all goes into bags and out the door by mid-morning on the day after delivery.
I pay 80% of market. I make 12% from my refiner who pays me 92%
I do not pay a premium for coins. I do not sell coins as anything other than sivler weight, nor do I care about mint marks and such or petina/dirt. If you have coins that are valuable beyond metal weight, please, sell them on ebay. I do not want to beat anyone
I do buy "filled" candle sticks. Be warned, most have around 23.00-25.00 in silver weight. Shipping on a single candle stick would run around 5.00 based on weight. I see these every few days as they are fairly common in the south. It is easier for your to use tin snips to pull the bottom away, smack it inside of a trash can. Pop the top, do the same. The inserted stem at the BASE of the top is NOT SILVER. If I am sent 100.00 in metal and it comes with 15.00 in shipping charges, there will be no shipping refund, period. I understand the need for safety and encourage it. But if you are sending under 100.00 in silver, insurance is out of your pocket, not mine. The same goes for less than 3 grams of gold. The 2.20 insurance eats 19% of my profit on 100.00
An example of pay scales
Silver closed today at 34.40 10 ounces would be 340.00 per market. My payment is 312.00, your end is 272.00
Feel free to check your pawn and Jewelry stores. You will find my 80% is a massive increase to what they will offer.
Most dealers offer 35-45% and most people on the web are offering up to 55%. No overhead should mean higher payouts, but, people are greedy and prey on the fact people have gone to pawn shops to try and sell and left out raged...so a 10-15% hike seems like mana and a fair deal. I offer what I DO feel is fair
I pay 80% locally and have no issue doing the same here due to the potential number of sellers.
PLEASE make your packages total 3 ounces or more of silver. I am covering shipping charges so please factor in the 3-4.00 I am repaying as well
On a 34.00 ounce market price, 1 ounce nets me 32.28, makes you 27.20, now add in 4.00 in shipping and I make 1.08, so I will need a 3 ounce minimum on silver and a 2 gram minimum on gold.
...I do not buy Tibetian silver..PERIOD.
If you purchased an item that was listed as Tibetian silver,do not send it to me. It will be sent back at your request and your charge or trashed. Tibetian silver is a Scam..period :) People will argue it, I am not going to. Tibetian silver contains, usually, from .50% to 11% silver. The mixed metals with it,zinc, lead, copper, make separate a waste of time and I cannot do a thing with it.
MOST inexpensive Silver and Gold earrings come with 1 stamped and 1 unstamped. The unstampped one will be cut in half and assayed prior to payout. better safe than sorry when playing with your own money, right ? :)
Some information
Sterling silver is 92% silver
If an item is 1 ounce at 34.00./oz on pure silver, your sterling piece would have a full scrap value of 31.28 of which you would obtain 80% of.
Gold chart for % of gold contained
24 -------- 100.00
22 --------- 91.67
18--------- 75.00
14 --------- 58.30
10 --------- 41.67
9 --------- 37.50
Gold is weighed in Troy ounces 31.1 grams per ounce.
Gold closed at 1779.00 today which would be 57.20 spot per gram
If you had 6 ounce of 24k scrap would be 343.00 means I would obtain 315.56 and your payment would be 274.56
PLATINUM....Platinum will take 48 hours to process and pay. You will be paid based on market 48 hours from the morning after the delivery date.
Platinum is a TERRIBLY difficult sale due to the amount burned off in refining
I am paid 78-80% of market
I will pay 65% of market for Platinum
I DO NOT BUY PALLADIUM
IF PACKAGE ARRIVES ON FRIDAY YOU WILL BE PAID BY MONDAY MORNING SPOT AND YOU WILL NOT BE SENT PAYMENT UNTIL MONDAY
I do not cover paypal fees on payments.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Deals will be posted just like they would for any other item.
If you THINK something is real silver or gold, stop into a jewelry store and have them tell you. If you KNOW, and wish to sell, let me know.
I also do trade comics as well for Silver/Gold at the same rates based on graded condition.
A perfect example
On average this #55 should grade at an 8.0. It could go as low as a 7.5 and as high as an 8.5 when sent to CGC, however I grade it as an 8.0. I have 2 copies, this is just the better of the 2,therefore best to show :)
Silver trade cost would be 13-13.5/oz of .999 and scale up for sterling. Gold would be 8.75/g for 24k and scale up for lower grades
I do not gamble on the market. I flip. I pay more because I am comfortable with 8-11%
I will not loose money on deals because no matter what market is I am always making 8-11% off of each deal depending on weight and shipping costs.
DO NOT SEND ME STOLEN GOODS ! I WILL NOT GO INTO DETAIL,BUT IT ISN'T A BIG LEAP ON SOME PACKAGES, TO DETERMINE THE CONTENTS ARE BEING SOLD AS STOLEN GOODS.

80% is kind of bad when there are bullion forums out there just like this one (silver/gold instead of cards) where people will pay spot or close to it. gl to you, but your basically a cash for gold store

Please post or PM the forum info
You are mistaken since scrap is burnt down.Refined. I do know some people pay spot on coins and I do not chase coins and will take them if there, but I tell people to sell them on ebay...., so I am not concerned that maybe someone is taking advantage of you and others under the guise of "fair spot" pricing.Their motivation is finding premium coins for spot prices, much like a lot of people on card forums are doing of late I am noticing.
Why would you san™™™™ my post with misinformation or half-truth ?
Is it because your signature states you are looking for gold and silver ?

I deal primarily in scrap.
But unlike sports cards that flop daily,Silver-age comics do not,so That should still be safe :)
But I think you need to reflect on pricing offered. There are weight minimums on most scrap items.
Since I doubt anyone will come at me with ingots......
Since the BULK of what I deal in is silver scrap (silverware,candlesticks,knecklaces,rings)...and no one here will have over 100 ounces...
90% 200+ ozt ASW, 86.5% 199.99-100 ozt ASW, 85% less than 100 ozt ASW
86.5% 250+ ASW, 83.5% 100-199.99 ozt ASW, 80% less than 100 oz ASW
60% 100+ ozt ASW, 50% less than 100 ozt ASW
* $25 assay fee is applicable
So they pay 90% on 4 ounces and charge a 25.00 fee meaning the seller gets 72% and pays shipping.
You can also sell them your gold chains and such, scrap,
They pay up to 93% on what they feel is recoverable from assay....you do realize this doesn't include burn off ?
So if you send in 1 ounce of gold and loose 7 Tgrams in burn off you end up with 79% of the initial weight.
I am unsure if you are trying to be helpful or discourage people from selling me silver as opposed to trading it to you.
Clarify when you get a chance. It being implied I am being greedy by someone who trades cardboard that can be worthless in the span of 24 hours has me a bit ruffled :)
