how to keep an autograph on a jersey from fading question

I have an autograph on a jersey that seems to be fading a bit. I had it in a UV protected glass display case, but it still looks like it's starting to fade. I've taken the jersey out and put in a dark place, but I've heard about some things you can do that keeps it from happening more (hairspray?). Any tips? It's a black sig on a red letter.

    Thanks in advance

This is sort of off topic, but has anyone else seen that Sharpie sells a marker specifically for fabric? Does anyone have any feedback on those?

I think no matter what you do there is always going to be some fade over time. That being said I have some that are 15 years old that still look incredible. I will admit I don't have them displayed where any kind of sun light would ever hit them though.
