I still have Tavares above Eberle, but Eberle's definitely top 10.

I think everyone has JT over Eberle. Even Eberle himself :)
I don't see Eberle as top 10 looking at that list, around 15th seems about right. When you bring in names like Duchene, RNH or Landeskog, ....... Eberles not cracking any top 10.

I would have Tavares third on my list, but I actually think Eberle is closer to him than you're giving him credit for. Both are great playmakers and creative goal scorers, with Tavares getting the edge in my book because he's done all this without great teammates. I watched a lot of Isles games last season where he carried that team, something Eberle didn't have to do. At the same time, Eberle has so far proven to be the best of the Oilers' Big Three despite not getting the hype of the others.
As for RNH and Landeskog, they'll be there soon enough. I'm not so sure on Duchene, he really had a tough 2011 season. Hopefully he can rebound, because the Avs could be fun to watch.

What are Gagner, Varlamov, Benn and Lucic even doing on that list?

That list is a joke. Gagner above Eberle?
Beckett and ESPN both need to hire some real knowledgeable hockey people. Maybe look to Canada and hire someone who loves hockey and knows how to properly analyze the game and rank the players. I know it is somewhat subjective but you at least need to be within a reasonable ballpark.

as someone that has watched him play and his games as a whole it seems about right. A great scorer as well as one of the top defensive forwards on that list

some people probably have just not watched him play enough since he is on the west coast

isn't Eberle pretty lacking in the defensive department as well? I think some people are overlooking the all-around game that some players on this list have

I'd say it's not a strength, but it has improved. I wouldn't claim that he deserves to be near the top, but being behind Gagner does seem a little over the top.
Couture will continue to fly under the radar because he's on the west coast, but he's a great player.
