View my store BetaCourt clears voter ID law in SC but not until 2013
If I didn't know any better I would swear that SC still operates under jim crow laws. Hopefully these discriminatory laws will be thrown out by the SCOTUS.

View my store BetaThe definition of discrimination is "to treat differently on the basis of factors such as sex, race, age, religion, etc." Requiring people to prove that they are a U.S. citizen and have the Constitutionally provided right to vote is not discrimination.
When the law protecting people from having to show ID to vote was created this was a different America. veggie, as you have said in the past, using old antiquated laws in today's America doesn't make sense. This law is old and antiquated. In a country where illegal immigration is such a massive problem, it just makes sense to protect our right to a fair election. There is no valid argument that shows that a voter ID law will prevent U.S. citizens from voting.

View my store BetaIf they don't charge for IDs, you're right. Personally, I have no problem with needing ID to vote, what I don't like is the reason this suddenly being called a problem. It is a tactic meant to take votes away from the Democrats and allow the Republicans to win. That's kind of sick, really.

Bingo!! Also I don't hear any of the republicans screaming fraud in absentee ballots for people who generally vote republican or for those rigged election machines that helped GWB steal the elections in 2000 and 2004. Or what about the voter intimidation by Jeb Bush in Florida? No we all know what this is about. The republicans are making up a solution for a problem that never existed. Their real goal is to suppres votes of minorities who likely will vote for President Obama. This is really sick and it saddens be that such blatent racism can still occur in 2012. SMH.

View my store Betaso the people who can't afford or do not want to get an ID vote for Obama?
instead of giving them a free cellphone or busing then to protests, maybe we can get them a $6 voucher for an ID?
or instead of them buying a pack or two of smokes they could spend their money on an ID?Jay Shrewsbury

View my store BetaShrew, I've shown the video many times that proves voter ID laws, at least in Pennsylvania, are nothing but a ploy to "allow Governor Romney to win". I'm not making it up. I can understand a Republican not wanting to admit it, but not a non affiliated person such as yourself...
And veg is right about your stereotyping there. Not top form.Collecting

View my store BetaAnd Shrew, it doesn't matter if everyone can afford it, it's the government making you pay for a constitutionally held right. Last I checked, it doesn't matter if it's $6 or $6000. Make people pay to exercise a right is just wrong.
