Wanted to share this with everyone, I am going to try a rip and flip with my 2012 Bowman Chrome Boxes. Feel free to follow along here:

good luck.... i don't see it happening though. Even if you do reach your initial buy in of 250, all the time ad effort it takes you to do so really doesn't make it worth it.

I look at boxes/cases of cards like automobiles.... the second you drive it off the lot, the value depreciates tremendously. Hence, one you open a box of cards, the resale value of the singles is no where near what you paid for the box (unless you pull a monster card that is). This is why hobby shops sell sealed boxes/cases and not singles... there isn't any value in it.

But, as I said... bust of luck! Will check back on this and see how you are doing

Sorry, I don't sell/trade for you to make a profit. And I couldn't care less what "the last one on eBay sold for".

I agree with you, getting more would be an accomplishment. Especially since if I would have bought the boxes online I could have saved myself close to $50. I dont mind the time, I'm not doing it as a source of income so its no big deal. My biggest advantage is that I am only in for $50 out of pocket, came across a free $200 so its just something to do for me.

Also I think the box has to have that depreciation trait. I'm no economist but I would have to figure if you could always sell your break for more then what the box contents were everyone would do it. Thus, resulting in 2 things(or both), box prices going up and/or returns going down due to everyone flooding the market. Those that do these Rip and flips on a higher level have ways to hedge their breaks. Preselling and having repeat buyers waiting must be a nice feeling when you put that much into cardboard(Had been reading on BO people talk about case breaks).

But thanks for the kind words, I consider myself fortunate for being more than halfway there. I could have easily gotten 3 junk auto's and been lucky to get my $50 back, lol
